  1. The analogy is quite confusing. But when we find the secondary meaning of "cool", we can be sure that the answer is "E". "cool" also means not friendly, interested or enthusiastic. e.g. She was decidedly cool about the proposal. One who is not friendly shows hostile behavior as "disobedient person shows iniquitous behavior". Hence answer is "E" It is quite amazing of a single word to convey exactly two opposite meanings. Isn't it?
  2. To start with, you can check with this site - http://www.downdowndown.net/index_gre.htm. You might be prompted to install Chinese font. Just cancel it.
  3. Hey guys!! Let's start a thread in which we discuss only about the real questions in GRE. So, please do post only real questions that you might have found practically or from any other published source.
  4. Right answer should be unpredictable (A). Here the clue is "effort taken" which considers effort as an input to achieve competitive advanatage. Amount of input could not be measured as difficult but as "unpredictable". It is not surprising that superior service can generate competitive advantage for a company, but the effort taken to improve service can often be -----------. (A) difficult (B) expected © diversified (D) unpredictable (E) promising
  5. Rahul !!! Don't worry Relax! I also have my test drawing near. You have nothing in hand. As you mihgt have noticed that vocab is not the only issue in GRE. It is logic. The logic of how you build analogy in different context. Your reading style- how efficiently you read etc. You need to practice. Devote 8-10 hrs. And everyday - do at least 40 new analogies question , 40 antonyms and 6-7 reading. Assess how fast you extract the meaning of words you had learnt and go throught confused words again and again. it's the time to look at only at the problems you find difficult. You can't revise everything. So, try to be productive. And listen to goodm music and do mediataion if possible.
  6. well. i agree with you. cure means " to make a person or an animal healthy again after an illness ". The verb thus need an external influence. Whereas revive is natural. You faint because you become very weak. The body gains energy automatically. Recuperate also means a natural process of restoring health. Bridge can be - "Your body recuperate after the surgery" and "your body revives after being faint"

How did you apply your quant experience in the real test?
  15. [clap] [clap] Congrats!! I do really envy your score now. I am confident that I can do well in Quantitaive but I am really amaze to find test takers who score 600+ in verbal. Kaash!!! I have very less time and should be choosy in studying most pertinent materials. So, if you could suggest me the some straightforward path (formula) in succeeding in Verbal , I will be thankful to you. Normally, I score 400 - in the verbal in any PP and Kaplan. I am very poor. 19. Expect the best and prepare for the worst. Nevertheless, uncounciously, your breath might not be normal or u might get frustrated as test draws near. If possible , dedicate some more time to meditation (at least for 30 mins). It will be easier if you are used to it. It will also help in the rest of your life.
