  1. Yes. I have just received my score. I did not press "Next" but my score came out just fine :)
  2. Hi, Finally I got 650!. I have always prayed for 650 since I believe that it is the least score that could make a person at least hit the GMAT 'threshold' of the top schools. (Agree?) Anyway, I am satisfied with what I got. However, I would like to hear from you guys if I should retake again. I know that I had a weak point in CR. However, I realized that as of now, I should concentrate on essays and other things, so it might not be a great idea to retake the GMAT again. What do you think? Please share your ideas... Also, I would like to thank testmagic forum, without this forum and everyone I would not be able to climb up from 480 to 650. BIG THX , gmat_fighter!
  3. a very good question here.
  4. test message... the post was not updated as last edited by me... ...it is okay now :)
  5. I wondered how we could come up with Cost = kTL^2 I understood about the constant k but I mean from reading the question, I translated the statement directly into Cost = kT and Cost = pL^2 (k and p are constants) Pls help explain. Thank you!
  6. Oh thanks...I understand now. The reason that makes this question confusing is the intepretation of "2/3 are either cows or pigs". It means that C+P = 40 not C=40 or P=40
  7. Here is my approach; (2%*20,000)+(2.5%*30,000)+(3.5%*X) = (3%*(20,000+30,000+X)) Solve for X X = 70,000 As a result, the total deposits = 20,000 + 30,000 +70,000 = 120,000
  8. I tried to retrieve my essays by "copy and paste" too but I could not. Finally, I used the Prt Sc button. You need to do it twice since the whole essay does not fit within one page. Scroll down and press Prt Sc for the second part of the essay. Paste your essays on Ms Word. Also, you can resize the screen image for the review. If someone has a better idea, please share :)
  9. I think it is 14C2. It is a combination not permutation since the sequence does not matter. 14C2 = 91..... What's the OA?
  10. Thanks so much guys! Wish u all the best of luck also!
  11. Hi, I finished my GMAT yesterday and I got 620 AGAIN...same as my last time...about 4 months ago...but the combination of scores is quite different. Last time 620 (Q 48 V27, awa 6) this time 620 (Q 42 V33) Yesterday I knew that I screw up in Quant since my 3rd question. It was a geometry problem. I stuck for almost 5 mins then I decided to guess and move on. However, I realized that getting the wrong answer at the very beginning cost me a lot!!! so I was so nervous and the triangle figures of that problem kept coming up in my head for the rest of my Quant exam. For verbal, I can manage time better than my last exam...still my score is not impressive. I will definitely take the test again. I will try to reserach on the Math forum to see suggested books and work on more Quant problems... Do u think that 1-month preparation should be enough for my next GMAT? (really wanna get 650+) :hmm:
  12. Is it E? ..... I change my mind to B because....."it" does not parallel with Yellow jackets and "living" should not be used here I guess!
  13. I think C is wrong because the verb should be in simple present tense so that it can be parallel to "he constructs". Moreover, the use of "summarizing" sounds wordy. Also, GMAT does not prefer gerund! Hope this helps:)
  14. Is it okay if I did not press 'Next' to confirm my essay? Will the computer save my essay automatically or do I have to press Next (or Submit or...)? I wonder because in other parts, we always have to confirm the answers, esp. the last one of each part, right?
  15. Can anyone please explain more on B???
