  1. Also, "installed" and "special cases" far apart: Logically, it makes sense to keep them together. - J.
  2. OG: Official Guide. Go here: http://www.mba.com JC.
  3. Let's evaluate the second second based on your reasoning: If a = 5, b = 2 then a - b = 3 = c So we get different values of c! - J.
  4. Yes, the answer given is wrong. It's oughta be A. Thanks.
  5. If each of the positive integer a, b, and c is a prime number and abc = 30, what is the value of c? 1. a 2. a - b = c I get A, but the answer is D. Thanks.
  6. Yep, the PowerPrep test is pretty much out of the [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. So it's a good idea to attempt one PP test before studying the [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. The second one can be tackled before taking the GMAT as a rehearsal for the big one. Ifyou have done the [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip], then the PP is not a good indication at all. All the questions in the [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] are "retired"; they are no longer tested.
  7. You are comparing "20 percent", which requires much: answer D has "twice as much". I would pick D. - JC.
  8. If I had accepted... The answer is not there! - JC.
  9. My answer: Bob's rate = x Tom's rate = 2x Bob + Tom = 3 hrs. Therefore, 1/x + 1/2x = 1/3 Solving for x, x = 9 / 2 = 4.5 hrs, which is the hours for Bob. Thanks.
  10. I would do it this way: x + y + z = 180 => y = 180 - (x + z) Also, x + z > y => x + z > 180 - (x + z) => x + z > 180 - x - z => 2x + 2z > 180 => x + z > 90 So x + z must be at least greater than 90, which is the lower bound, and only choice C gives that. I wouldn't do anymore than this. Thanks.
  11. Please help: If the number of square units in the area of a circle is A and the number of linear units in the circumference is C, what is the radius of the circle? 1. A/C = 3/2 2. A > C + 3 The answer is C. Thanks.
  12. Erin -- Have you had a chance to evaluate this set of tests? Is it worth the money? Thanks.
  13. If n is an integer, is n - 1 > 0 1. n^2 - n > 0 2. n^2 = 9 The answer is E, but I come up with A. Thanks.
