Itz really unfortunate to see that no one has posted yet again for +5.30 test takers. The same thing happened last time when I took the test. Despite that I posted mine after the test for the western users. Itz really disappointing. :( I hate to say it as a community forum.

This thread is a real morale booster so I thot why shouldn't it go up to top for a while.... especially when there are a lot of people taking the test tomorrow. (March 10th) Remember the TSE is designed for Non- Native English Speakers and not for native English speakers so it is very much possible for a Non Native English Speaker to get a 60 out of 60, and I guess it is good for everyone of us to retain that in mind. :grad:

I think TSE will be discontinued and replaced by TOEFL iBT in june 2006

It depends upon the center and the examiner I must say. As ETS clearely states in their bullettin watches with alams are not allowed in. In my case I was fortunate to take my digital watch with a stop watch, a timer and a calculator in it. But I don't think you could barely use it functionally once you are on takin the test. That again depend on the center in which you are taking the test from likewise rpt2be pointed out. Again in mycase I was fortunate to have a single office room locked up from outside when I took the test. No one came in untill I finished the test and knocked the door. Some people are fortunate to have centers like that wheras some others don't. Best of luck with your exams in any case. :tup: Regards

knock, There were only 3 cities that was in comparison in the graph. And I'm sure one among them was salt late city. I do remember it so well ad there are obvious reason for me for that. Can't ignore the fact of a third set of qoestions in that case. :) miryalamani, There will be many who posts the questions in advance after the test for testmagic users try to take advantage of it. Just keep in mind that the test is about your descriptive, persuasive and narrative communicationg ability and not about giving smart answers. Try to utilize the most of the time given for your answer and don't restict your answer in few words or sentenses. Good Luck with your exam. :tup:

knock I could remember one more city that is Salt lake City. I guess I performed best with the last 3 questions that is 7th 8th and 9th. The toughest one for me was the second one.. :(

Probably you should consider going with any of the last two resolutions you have thought about. Try calling up or writting to ETS, or forget TSE as such and wait for TOEFL ibT to arrive. If you still consider going to another country to write the test why don't u consider going to a country whos immigration processes isn't that stringent. Regards

pharmacist2006, I apreciate your intent. Thats why I said as a preface it is not to offend any parties. But facts are facts. Didn't mean that you are the one who is gonna send in the spam. Remember its not only you who has access to this forum, there are millions searching around with different motives. Moreover there are hundreds of e-mail fetching bots (Scripts coded to crawl through open webpages on the internet to actively search and fetch e-mail addresses) around the internet hungry for their catch. So it is a safe idea to restrict these kind of sensitive informations to a secure place such as 'Private Messages' etc thats why there is such a feature in all major forum softwares. Instead e-mail addresses can be posted in a manner which fools these bots ( eg: you[at]yourdomain.com, you©yourdomain.com etc ) But still these kinds of precautions could only fool some bots and not human. Instead if you are cool with getting SPAM mails or mails with trojan attachments or are even okay with having your e-mail accounts hijacked you can keep doing the same. Just my few suggestions you can take it or leave it. :)

Browse through the ETS site to see if you could find some information relevant to your concern. If you couldn't find anything helpful on their site its not a bad idea to call them up and inquire directly.

Mr. Wang good to hear that you removed the ads from the Trial version atleast for a while. Let me grab the latest Trial Version... :D To be honest I didn't really explore all of it features and functionalities in deapth because of the distracting ad. But I'm gonna do it now. Yes I understand the importance of monetizing such a project, but the sound from the ads placed in the earlier trial version was really distracting. I beleive if you have an imperessive trial, version people eventually would become inclined to buy the Full Version knowing its capabilities. On another note you could have ads with text links or even graphics without sounds that would help the project moving. And I believe its a really wise decision to remove the auto start up feature and add in an uninstaller... the more userfriendly and user-respecting the software is the more it will be adored by the users. And you could always count on me for my humble suggestions... I love to do it especially when it is to support such noble acts. Regards Arun

I beleieve you could use the phrase 'Population Rate' the phrase 'Number of Population' is incompatible in my view. Or you could modify it as 'Number of People'

Yes Mr. Wang the auto start up feature is really annoying in my openion. So is the Ads with Sounds. How could one suppose to practise pronounciation skills when you have a distracting sound in the background. It also would be a good idea to make the program launch the users' default browser to show up the help files rather than IE. Regards Arun

As khadija says I still think it could be of huge help. And I assume it even helps to remove the 'mental block' which most people complains about when put forward with an unexpected questions at the actul test. But unfortunately none has responded to my request even though I repeated myself many times. It was really disappointing. A community is meant for mutual benefit but I understood that mojority of people here just try to take benefit from it and don't enjoy helping out. The actual recalling of the questions asked in the test and reproducing it for others itself can be considered as a challenging exercise that sharpen one's memorizing skills and help one understand their weakpoints. I can bet you that if you don't realize your failures you can never be successful...

Thatz true... and unfortunately it is not listed in the Installed Program list too. It don't have itz own uninstaller as well. As sanview pointed out I have to manually edit the startup entry it has inserted in the system registry to make it stop starting up when Windows start. And it launches a browser that I have dumped about 1 and a half years ago... that was the most annoying experience for me and some script in the page it launches makes the browser go not responding for a while. So Mr. Wang if you could explain how to remove the trial version from the system completely I would be greatful. BTW I am using Win XP Pro Regards Arun **EDITED**
