  1. Yes, UC's always takes the highest SAT score, but they will see both scores. There's no rule saying how many times you can take the SAT, you can take it as many times as you want. However, in my opinion I think a max of 3 times is best. Taking it too many times make it seem like you are devoting too much time to it. Kind of overkilling it. Again, that is just what I think, but if you think you got a chance for a big improvement...then take it more than 3 times.
  2. Most schools will accept ACT with writing, but to be safe you should take the SAT as well. I personally thought that the ACT was a tad bit easier, however I will have to wait until Nov. 28 to compare it with my SAT score. :hmm: Random comment: Hi Erin :)
  3. I will be taking the SAT II US History in May. I also signed up for the SAT II chemistry and SAT II Literature in June. :doh:I'm getting worried now for the Literature test because I have not taken a literature class yet. I'm currently in AP English lang and will be taking AP lit in senior year. Do you think I should just try and take the SAT II lit?? Or should I just not take it? Is it possible to just not take it? Do i have to contact collegboard if i don't take it? I don't know what to do, please help. Edit: will it look bad if i signed up for it and not take it?
  4. shutupjessmah: how was the SAT II US history exam? I'm taking it in May. Should I take the SAT I again in June(it will be my second time if I do)? I recently took the april SAT I (for the first time) and I have a feeling I didn't do so well, even though the scores are not out yet. Or should I wait until my senior year to re-take the SAT I ?
  5. Does a "bad" PSAT score affect the chances of getting into a good college? In other words does colleges look at your PSAT score as a factor for acceptance? p.s. I haven't taken the SAT yet.
  6. I think it's best to take Math II, even if they don't require it. At least that is what the counselors at my school say. Well, you should take the test for the subject you know the best. If you just took a physics class and you did well in your class, sign up to take the SAT II physics test as soon as possible since you will still remember what you learned. Since you did not do well in chemistry, don't take it. Just take what you feel comfortable in, regardless if chemistry is easier to prep or not.
  7. good luck. My friend is taking it tommorrow, too.
