Can ne1 suggest me the ways of preparing for such tech interviews. What are the recommended sites and books? Thanks in advance!

hey guys..i tried booking a date at the Kolkata consulate today but dates are only available in May (which will be 222 early for me to prepare the docs)or Aug (whch will be late!!). Since 2day is a sat..do u think that more visa dates may be available on a monday or a tuesday???

Hey Guys....I have got an admit into Purdue and will be goin 2 pursue MS in Computer Science there with a specialization in Network Securities. I have tried contacting some of the professors at the department who are carrying research in the same area of interest as mine. I have emailed them twice but no replies from them. Can u suggest me possible ways of contacting the professors about courses and details of their current projects and research... so that they are interested in replying back!!! Plzz help guys!

Hey Guys....since many of us are gearing for our all-important visa interviews...it would be gr8 to hear from fellow TMians(those who have already undergone the privelege), about their personal experience during the visa interview.............Plzzzzzzzzzzzz guys do write about ur experiences in details......ur centre...the procedure tht u had to follow since u were ushered inside ...and the interview itself..the ques. asked and the ans..given! Plzzzzzzzzzzzzz guys...I believe this will help many aspirants to overcome the visa phobia......now and henceforth! :tup:

Hey..jayesh ..srry 4 the late reply..yaa I had applied for funding at Purdue n after getting admission had mailed them twice stating my urgent need of a funding. Then they lemme kno in March that decision 4 funding wud be made in the foll. weeks to come and that I am being considered. Even aftr that I pursued wi my queries and rang them up twice in April to kno my status...finally achieved the goal..Hoped for an RA...but managed a TA...better still to have smthin rather than nthin at all!!!! So..best of luck 2 u!!:tup:

Hey Guys....i had received an admit frm Purdue CS and am thinking of goin there...But do have a lill prob!! 2 weeks earlier i was informed that the funds that i had shown as proof of the 1st year are a lill short and i had to resend my fin docs again!! So i did send my docs and it reached them yesterday... Also...a frnd of mine and I and also sm other guys had received an email frm the univ that we have been considered 4 fin aid....So..now the results r out and all other guys have received fin aid...but i haven't heard frm them as yet... So do u think this is becoz i was short in my docs or has the univ rejected my appl for aid cmpltly!!! Also.. can the univ keep the decision pending since i was a lill short in producing the docs earlier??? Hey..shud i call them up regarding this?? Hey...plzzz help yaa..:rolleyes:

Hey I completely agree with Jayesh..Purdue wud b a much better option..since u are purely interested in gud research work!!! Also....it is cheaper than the other institute...so u get both ends to meet dear!! Bye n Take Care!!:tup:
