Hi am in d process of sending my applns to the univs.. i have 3 qs: 1.i have got a bank statement from d bank manager .do I also need to get an affidavit of support from my sponser(my father)? 2.From the discussions held at forums,i gathered tht a solvent certificate must be attched to this affidavit..is it a must tht this has to be done or can I jus attch the BS wid the affidavit? am apping to NEU..I have a BS saying my sponser can finance my education to upto 42,000$ For NEU,the fee for the first year itself comes to 41,000$.. 3.most univs have reco forms..incase my recommender wants to write a letter in his own format,do i have to ask him to sign the form anyway?and where shud i ask him to mention tht he is attching a letter in his own format? thanx a ton, ochre

i would like u guys to ans jus 2 ques? 1. " IS it extremely extremely difficult to get aid if we have no presentation/ extra curr activities ?" Yes it is pretty difficult to get an aid for MS thes days...but once u get into a univ u can always make it up with p/t jobs on campus..if u maintain a good gpa u may even get a tuition fee waiver..mail the profs of the univs ..tell them ur intersted in their research work..if they find u good enuf,u may get an assistanship even b4 u land in the US of A :whistle: .. ATB

hey mishu check the billin period for ur credit card...i mean check with the bank when then next credit card statement is due to arrive..u may probly recive the statment for the registration at the end of this month.. neways as long as uve have got the mail from prometric uve got nothing to worry.. am the one whos supposed to b worryin now..gave mah xam on the 1st of june..still havent got my scores or the duplicate scores i requested :( ...plannin to call up ETS again

can somebdy throw light on the information assurance courses offered in univs like Stony Brook, GWU, NEU... wht are the job propects for international students who pursue an ms(not a PhD) in this field? nybdy here keen in pursuing a Masters in this field?

@FedUp thnx @Ruchika SOP - 1 page good , 1 1/2 - ok ..2 pges - the max.. most advisable - write the SOP to a max of 500 words..the admissions comittee will hve to go thru a lot of applns n nobdy wud like to read one tht runs for pages... LOR - max of 1 page...

please mention ur acads n other acheivements,porjects n papers,etc...

Hello folks, I gotta couple doubts when I was filling the appln forms.. 1.There is this q which appears in most forms: "List the other graduate schools ur applying to" Is it ok to list the other univs Im applyin to?Wont it affect the appln in any way? 2.Another FAQ: Under the provision of Family Education Rights & Privacy Act a.I have retained my right to access this recommendtion b.I have waived my right to access this recommendation Which one do i choose? 3.Is it better to have the reco form given by the univ filled or better to get an LOR in the prof's own format? 4.Can I send photocopies of my LOR n Financial stat? If OK,Do i need to get my fin.statement atttested? Pls do help me out wid the above qs... thnx Ochre

I havent received my scores as yet..I gave my exam on the 1st of june.. I called up ETS..they told me they had sent the scores on the 13th of June... wat do i do now? How do i apply to the univs?am applying for spring 07..
