  1. Dude... 45 is ODD :p u typed by mistake... ----------------------- Well The above case is get disqualified in case of 90 which ie multiple of 9 and 5 and is even no. The above explanation disqualifies B) too.. So C) is the correct answer i.e [iII] So Option A) is correct answer...
  2. @dageep :- yeah it happens lots of time...we just have to make an educated/lucky guess in that time..!! because no matter how much practise those types of problems...u never know what ur gonna face in real exam..!!
  3. ^^ well i have nova... but i dont have Arco :| never mind...lately its been my habit to collect every resource..and just save it ... I need to start using it too...:| Anyways...@zymeth02 :- u seem to have done a good research on net as one time u gave me a good probability link... Actually i am starting my studies today... I havent done SD,Mean,Mode etc..ever...could u suggest some good book/site/link where i should start...
  4. ^^^ Dude...DI from BigBook is useless..!! ITs too simple for current level.. Plus the questions asked in DI these days....need heavy calculation (Not approximation)..and questions itself have cryptic wordings..!! so what i would recommend is get the books for newer edition or refer GMAT DI (i am not sure of GMAT has DI).. Well i am starting my prep from today..!! i will be starting with topics that i have never done... i.e SD, Mean , Mode etc..!! Anyways...
  5. Well i would recommend you not to go by Bigbook for maths...it way to easy for the current level..!! u shuld refere to Kaplan Maths Formulaes and practise all problem from Quant in Barrons...Also try and get Nova...ASAP.. and get ur concepts cleared..so even if u lack practise...ur concepts will help u during exam..as there are news that..even after solving only 25/28 problems in quant...ppl are gettin 800...if the first 25 are correct... so u have to be accurate..!! HTH
  6. Second one made me think twice :p 1st one was normal

    QC Dilemma

    Its definitely 'D'
  8. ^^ even i think that you are right..!! Diagonals of Parallelogram are equal in size i guess..!!
  9. :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash: why can't i pay proper attention the bloody question. I miss on these nooks
  10. Can we share its basics first..?? [w00t] I dont know even A,B,C of SD's
  11. Well nickel and dime is used for so many problems...I am surprised that u never came across it.!! Well even if ETS asks such questions. We cant play everything as blame game.. they expect us to know basics alteast..!! Ok i dont want to start a fight ;) So Peace Dipen
  12. Well if u can get some online tests..or practise from NOVA,Kaplan... It might be helpful... Big Book has very easy problem for Quants which are not even asked these days..!! You can also dig older threads from the forums and solve the problems itself..it would also help u a lot..whatever u do ..u have to Practise,Practise and Practise a lot.. HTH
  13. Ofcourse its 'D' i.e "Cant be decided on the basis of information given"
  14. Oh ok...didnt get it.. :p
  15. Your answer is perfectly right. But answer is not given in options so i gave a different thought. (ETS has specially mentioned that dont assume HARD FIGURES unless thier sizes are given) And in above diagram, No sizes are given ;) Every Rectangle is a Square if all its sides are equal so we have another option here i.e BDFH is a square with side 4 so that makes the side of square ACEG as 4√2 and eventually area as 32 and that is in option so that is our answer. Oh lord please save me from ( Probability,Permutation Combination,Standard deviation (Mean,Median thingy) and Sequences-Series ) :(:( Answer is A:24 Well as it mentioned that combined ages wen alex is half as old. With that in mind only 24 and 18 are divisible by 1.5 and then manually i tried to figure out how can nine times age equation could be proved. So i subtracted 7 from both ages and voila... I know its kinda non-technical but it helped me to get the anwer in 2 min (only 20 sec more than permissible limit) ;)
  16. ^^^^^ Thanx a lot man.. :).. btw where are u frm..?? what do u do ? I am from India and studying engineering
  17. Can any one help me with any website having good explanation (from basics) on Sequences and Series i.e AP,GP ?? I havent done it since 4-5 yrs..and i dont remember anything on it
  18. Seriosly... i am unable to even bridge the question..!!
  19. Thanx Michael thats what i thought that i might be missing on the degree of intensity..!!
  20. @madhur: I dunno Official answer..but what i know is that its not 'B'...because even i chose the same one and friend told me that it was a distractor. @Steve :- ur answer seems correct but i did not understand the logic :( Will ask him OA and let u know
