Thanks! i'm told that PhD admission is very very difficult even for graduates of CMU!! in general CMU doesn't offer scholarship for Masters I guess. But, my case is slightly different. A faculty member is interested in the kind of work i'm doing and is funding me for my masters. --Karteek

Hi Laks... Not sure if what you have written is correct. Consider the string 'ab'. The grammar you have written derives this string as: S => AB => aB => ab. But this string is not of the form xx!!! So, the grammar you have given accepts some extra strings and hence is not correct. Karteek

hi vinay.... Can you please clarify this.... Some people say that at top schools your GRE doesn't really matter. You can make up for it in other ways, by making other parts of your app look stronger. And, at lower ranked univs, your GRE score can make the difference between getting an admission or not. On the other hand some others say that GRE score is more important at top schools than it is at lower ranked schools. karteek
