Ok got your situation. First and foremost important thing.From above all description i have a impression that you are in the case where your mother/father have multiple marriages (I apologise if i am blatently preduming it.) . Most importanylt you can not hide your brothrs from VO in any case because i see they are your REAL brothers and you have to mention it in the DS forms.So keep it simple.Even if yours is the case which i have presumed , you will have to mention the brothers in DS becuase from VO's perspective / from USA's perspective they are your real brothers. Showing rosy picture is certainly which i never do.You have to work really hard on ya visa because you have US based sponser who is F1 to H1 . How do you plan to show your ties with homecountry is the most crucial thing. Always better to talk about old parents and you will be taking care of them along with the property. Highlight the point that your brother is coming back to pakistan after his F1 IF NEEDED which just prove in your favour. following are the few tricky/followup Qs i feel you really need to preapare well 1)Will you come back? 2)Why your brother did not come back after his F1 ? 3)if your brother did not come how should i trust that you will come back?

One of my friends story. His name is Mohammad Khatum , Ntionality Indian , born in Dubai and native thr for 13 yrs later shfted to Pune n staying these till now.His visa is out under 221[g] because : 1)His name matched a most wanetd by FBI 2)His DOB matched a most wanted by FBI How coinicdent is that..... sheer bad luck !

I AGREE ! I AGREE ! Dude i was high on luck really. 99 out of 100 cases like me will get a stright reject in Mumbai consulate. I wish to put my own analysis here whihc i thought on the night of my visa day after coming home with high on alcohol (yea plz don't be shocked, i can think after boozing :p ) 1)My body language , i feel this is most important in the consulate.I was very confident while doing formalities in the consulate. Smiling at all the officials , tight from the security gurads to the person who helps in aranging the docs , lady who guides for fingerprinting , beautiful lady who takes the finrgerprints.I was greeting each n every one of them in the consulate.That gave me some kinda "speaking" practise,a little confidence 2)Confidence , this is most important.VOs just chek how confident you are while answering. Your confidence the reflection of transperence you have in your documents and hence VOs do not ask for documents. 3)Presence of mind , next most important thing. If you fumble you are lost. Here is the thing which i think where i made a little mistake ~ i should not have stressed n said that family is living in USA for last 30 years,instead a simple answer like "maternal family living there" should have sufficed. ~ One thing which worked against me is definitely a trip sponsered by my family in USA.But that's the fact which i can not change as my father can not prove his income was that great to sponser a USA trip for 2 months for 4 persons.And hence i had nothing to do but to say the truth. ~ I am a person with a huuuuuuuuuuuge interest in philosphy and hence worked in a way i call "emotional blackmailing" to VO as far as Qs related to immigration are concerned.This could have worked against me as many people told me to not to be the philosophical in consulate like i always do because VOs hate it. Relatives in US creates a problem in a sense that VOs think that your relatives are already in USA for so-so many years and earning good then *that* relative of yours will help you in immigrating .

had a VI schedulled today @ Mumbai consulate at 8:15Am slot.And this how it went. Helluva experience ! VO: Gooood morning sir ME: Very good morning Officer ! VO: Why have you been to USA so many times? ME: Sir, my maternal family lives there since last 30 years and my family was invited by the cousins of mine on their graduation days. VO: Who sponsered your trip? ME: Majority of the expenses were taken care by my family in USA along with my father VO: I feel you will immigrate ME: Absolutely no sir, i am the only son pf my parents and i need to take care of them in their old days.Also my family own a proeprty worth $XYZ which i will need to take care of later. VO: Show me your father's passbooks ME: Here are they sir. VO: What is your father and how much he earns per annum? ME: Sir, he is Excexutive Board member of the XYZ and earn $XYZ per annum. VO: I still feel you will immigrate but ...... ME: Sir, it's all about taking care of my parents and the property ehich they have earned over last 40 years which i feel is my utmost implrtant responsibilty over my shoulders. VO: Ok sir , i am granting you the visa. ME: Thanks for trusting me sir.have a great day ! No details about the university, no document except passbooks, no routine questions which we generally get to read on forums.I was shivering literally but managed to convice the VO well.This was helluva experience for me and i just wanna thank to my parents who made this day possible for me ! Well following are precise answers ! Frankly there is nothing you can do.It's just sheer luck you must have to crack it.Above bundle of reasons are absolutely enough to conclude that you are a potential immigrant.

Absolutely no need to worry.Some days back i read here that one type of visa affecting other type is a total myth.Do not loose your nerves.It's a simple formality.When you appear for Visa Interview for F1 status your L1 status will just be cancelled. No worries absolutely.

Most tricky Q i feel now are like 1)"Tell me some reason for me to grant you the visa?" 2)"Will you come back? " I myself having trouble , preparing for these Qs.Well, Q2 can be answered i feel but Q1 is what keeping me awake whole nights because VISA is just few days away.....count on fingers damn ! :rolleyes:

Why do you want to inform them by mailing? Scores will get reported automatically and you will be notified later by ETS-TOEFL that successfull reporting has been done.Reporting the free scores is the responsibility of ETS-TOEFL,you need not worry about it.

IMO,no univerity gives more importance to AGRE than your GPA/academic credentials.Atmax,AGRE can be used as 1)means of compansating low GRE 2)adding a facet to the profile 3)Toggle between majors 4)universities like RUTGERS,GATECH needs them.

GRE and TOEFL score range might have helped me to make a educated suggestion.

What's your profile like.That's the most crucial thing before we suggest you any university.
