  1. for the second one you have to list out the possibilities.... column A : 3+1+3, 3+2+2 (plug in 3 as the first one anf follow accordingly ....we could have 3+0+4 but the minimum amount you can have is 1); ie 2 ways to distribute the money...with at least one person getting at least 3 Column B : 1+1+5, 1+2+4, 1+3+3, 2+2+3, 3+3+1...ie 5 ways to distribute the money. Thus : column b is greater
  2. I would like to differ from what ps36363 said. Its much easier to score in Verbal than in Quant with the right preparation. All of us with Engg background tend to ignore Verbal and go after Quant( atleast I did). I found out that its very easy to make silly mistakes in Quant than in verbal( I am known to make careless errors). I find RC the most difficult but apart from that SC and CR ain't that tough. Out of the 3 I would say CR is the easiest to master as there are around 8 types of questions that GMAC relies on. So I would say we shouldn't put all our eggs in the same basket. I agree that getting a 50 means you can get away with 35 in verbal but what if something goes wrong in Quant? Don't we need a backup? I think we should aim for 40+ in verbal( atleast prep like that) and trust me its not rocket science.
  3. IMO B influential is an adjective. But there is no noun in its vicinity that it can modify.
  4. IMO E A states that none of the coverage was carried live. thats wrong. some of it was live.
  5. IMO C A might have been my choice if it was stated like this A) and, if it strikes Earth, it can do tremendous damage to part of the planet but WILL....
  6. Lofgren’s disease has been observed frequently in commercially raised cattle but very rarely in chickens. Both cattle and chickens raised for meat are often fed the type of feed that transmits the virus that causes the disease. Animals infected with the virus take more than a year to develop symptoms of Lofgren’s disease, however, and chickens commercially raised for meat, unlike cattle, are generally brought to market during their first year of life. Which of the following is most strongly supported by the information provided? A. The virus that causes Lofgren’s disease cannot be transmitted to human beings by chickens. B. There is no way to determine whether a chicken is infected with the Lofgren’s disease virus before the chicken shows symptoms of the disease. C. A failure to observe Lofgren’s disease in commercial chicken populations is not good evidence that chickens are immune to the virus that causes this disease. D. An animal that has been infected with the virus that causes Lofgren’s disease but that has not developed symptoms cannot transmit the disease to an uninfected animal of the same species. E. The feed that chickens and cattle are fed is probably not the only source of the virus that causes Lofgren’s disease.
  7. Don't think it can be E. Why would the plant exhaust its amino acids? And above all its out of scope. I would go with D.
  8. a=3b-7 and a+3 = 3b+3k-7 subtracting the two eqns 3=3k k=1
