Hi, I think it's 35 meq/L. Riffatz and Preetham you both calculated for 500 mL, but the units asked in the question is for 1000mL (liters)---meq/L. So, all of you got the same answer......35 meq/L. Anyway what's the given answer ? Krish

Hi, I think there is something wrong in the calculation question. 1:100,000 means 0.001% , so it's impossible to prepare 0.001%w/v solution by mixing 0.1% and 0.5%, unless you dilute with water. 1mL of 0.1% w/v Ephedrine required to make 100mL of 1:100,000 (0.001%). or 0.5mL of 0.1% and 0.1mL of 0.5% are required to preapare 100mL of 1:100,000 (0.001%). Can you please post the right question. If I am wrong please feel to correct me. Krish.

Hi Carpe, Speaking questions are spoken and also appear on the screen. But one has to listen carefully to follow the directions.

Then good in individual section section, but score was 23. Finally i got good in integrated campus topics, even though I got fair in individual section I did very well (I mean for each response I gave 3 points clearly). The good thing was total score 26. Regarding Integrated topics, it's important to follow the "Official Guide to the New TOEFL® iBT With CD-ROM, 2nd Edition". And below URL was also very useful to practice. www.elllo.org/ (Under Interview Archives) There were about 100 recorded topics. After listening to the topics, I recorded my responses in 1 minute. Initially it took me 2-3 times to come up with good response.

I may not be the best person that you want to take suggestions. But anyway here are my speaking suggestions: Individual topics: I prepared notes for about 250 topics (Toefl Essay list and TOEFL iBt test questions posted in this forum).For example: Which type of movies you like? I love to watch comedy movies for several reasons. First of all, life is becoming hectic. Comedy movies give lot of relaxation. When I go to movies I don’t want to think, I just want to relax. Secondly, one can go with anybody, family, friends and children. Everyone enjoy comedy movies. Recently I watched “Night at the museum”. It’s a hilarious movie. I enjoyed it. It’s become my favorite comedy movie. Finally laughing and relaxing are really good for health. In my notes I wrote down: Comedy movies – relaxation – go with anybody – some movie example (Night at the museum). 2. Integrated topics: I followed ETS guide. I answered directly to the question. Task 3: The man doesn’t agree with the announcement about building new library for several reasons. First of all, he thinks…. he mentioned…Finally.. Task 4: Lecturer is talked about concept of “dealing with multiple choices”. He explained by taking example of buying jeans. Task 5: The women have to choose between taking French class and helping her sister in coming summer. I think it would be better, if she choose to take French class for several reasons… (Even before listening to conversation I decide to go with the first choice, so that I can note down points that supporting first choice). Task 6: Professor talked aboutbenefits of new x-ray machine. TV programs: CNN news, News with Katie Couric (easy to follow), and how it’s made (discovery channel). I practiced summarizing (speaking) the TV programs after watching. This speaking caused so much frustration. Finally I relieved. I wish you all the best. I am happy to answer any questions.

Finally after 5th time I got required score in speaking section. Thank you (all) for posting your test questions and sharing your experiences. It helped me to pass speaking. Here are my score details. Reading: 25, Listening: 29, Speaking: 26, Writing: 24. Total: 104

I think the question was "If some one from foreign country visiting your hometown and you need to serve a meal, what kind of preparations you will do?" I answered appropriately to the above question in the exam. If you think the question was " which kind of meal would your serve to foreign visitor?" -- I will probably get zero score for my response. Please let me know which question was right?

I am also in the same boat. No matter what I do my speaking scores were same. Until now I gave toefl three times. My speaking scores were 23, 22 and 23. I nedd 26. Personally I belive longmann is good for speaking section. Here are my speaking questions: # 1 Are games necessary in schools? # 2 What subject/class that you took in high school paid you back? #1 Describe a social/political event that people celebrate your country ? # 2 Government should spend money towards arts and art classes. Do you agree/disagree? Somebody already posted the questions that I got in recent (3rd time) test.
