  1. Yes, can anyone provide any comments on how usefull this site is for preparing for the GRE general exam.thanks
  2. Ya, the book is GRE CAT ANSWERS TO THE REAL ESSAY QUESTIONS, SECOND EDITION WITH ISBN NUMBER :0768911745
  3. Congratulations on you amazing score. I recently went through wordlist at http://www.supervoca.com, I have barrons and I am working through that one and I would like one more word list to go through. Could you please send me the files to sgardy@ualberta.ca I also tried to download them from the internet but it is not working. Thanks.Good luck at texas tech.
  4. Is that a new test development, one verbal and one quantitave. No experiment section ?????????????
  5. Attention:TheDude. Download the powerprep software and read the practice information, you will see all you need to know about statistics for the exam. If you cant do that, purchase the tenth edition guide to practicing the exam published by ets, its got a blue and white cover and costs about fifteen american dollars. There you will find the relavent information as well...same math review as the powerprep. Furthermore, you could downlaod this...http://ftp.ets.org/pub/gre/GREmathPractice.pdf and pay particular attention to the material after page 51. Good luck
  6. Ya, I was just wondering how your prep is going ? When are you planning to write the GRE exam ? Also, what study guides are you using at the moment ? Furthermore, it would be foolish to overlook the analytical writting section. My advice to you would be to personaly contact the school of your choice, I guess University of South Carolina, and ask them directly how they interpret the GRE score and what type of scores impress them. The GRE big book goes for about 100 american dollars on amazon.com. They say it is the best test prep guide. Anything by gre/ets is safe. My best advice would be to download the powerprep material and familiarize yourself with the contents of the software package. There will be further specific details about additional prep material....ie.gre diagnostic and score it now service. Well feel free to reply if you have any more questions, I would be glad to send you feedback when I have the time. Good luck.

    GRE Word Lists

Try the following : Guru word list http://www-ec.njit.edu/~grk4352/ as well as http://www.supervoca.com and http://www.number2.com
  8. For some other test prep materials, you might want to check out the GRE big book, that is dubbed the best test prep book out there. You can purchase that on amazon.com. Also, you could try the following website for more tests. These tests are online tests and you have to pay for access to them, but they are tough so try http://www.800score.com. I guess there is also there is the poorly labeled "gre test for dummies" guide. I think that there mighte be one other study guide, maybe Thompson with a blue and white cover accompanied by a cd, that is available. However, I might be confusing this with the arco study guide. I will check next time I go to the book store. Oh, and about the information for those schools that you were interested in, I would check the websites and email them if you need more information. Well, good luck.

Hey, sunxcat. What arco word lists are you refering to. It it a book. If so, what is the isbn # and how many words are in this list. Hey, DIMITRA, check out http://www.supervoca.com , I love this site.
  10. i would tree http://www.supervoca.com . I think it is much better then any word book or list that there is out there. Good luck.
  11. i recently purchased the big book and I was wondering if there were any tests from these two guides that are the same. As I flip through the big book some of the questions seem familiar. Just wondering if anyone checked this out. I guess it is not that big of a deal but any insight would be apreciative.
  12. Hello. I would like to know how everyone is using powerprep. Do you think it is more usefull to just do the practice tests once each time before the test OR do the test as many times as you can trying to get as many different questions as you can from the PRACTICE tests. I don't know, I was just wondering what you people thought. Thanks.
  13. ya, I am too interested in hearing how you prepared for the exam. I think that I am going to write the exam in the summer. Write now I am going through the first practice test on the power prep software. I want to try and harvest as many questions as I can from the pp software. This way I can get a good idea as to the caliber of questions that will be on the exam. I emailed ets and they said that powerprep contains 1000 questions. Well, the quant score is perfect, the verbal is low and hopefully your awa score will be high when it comes. I have checked with a few schools and different schools interpret the GRE different. The TOEFL score seems good so I don't know why the gre-verb score would realy matter. I myself am in economics, which is why I have made the effort to reply to your post. It is also important to note that I am just a student like you and so my opinions should not be taken as seriously as the people like Erin and his crew who maintian the TestMagic website. Well, take care, good luck with your studies. Please, when you get a chance, could you let everyone know how you prepared for the quantitave section. Also, did you get V-Q-V or Q-V-Q. Thanks.
  14. Just a question regarding the powerprep cd. I would like to know exactly how many questioins are in the powerprep test bank for each of the two tests in each of the two sections ie.the verbal and the quantitave. Also, just as an aside. I have heard that by re-booting your computer, you can gain access to new questions. Does any else have any idea how to maximize ones access to all of gres questions on the powerprep cds. Thanks. Input would be very much appreciated. S.G.
  15. hey bioalb, how much time did you prepare for the GRE
