  1. Trungleha, I have the Barron SAT II: Writing book, if you are in Hanoi and interested, just contact me to get a "photocopy" version. My number is 852-59-78. My name is La^n ( I'm a male, thought ). I gonna take SAT II this Sartuday, and I feel unready, too. Since there is no preparetion course for Writing, I'm very afraid about writing. It is bad already.
  2. Topic: In an address to Congress in 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, describing his vision for the world's future, said: "... we look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms. The first is freedom of speech and expression... The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way....The third is freedom from want...The fourth is freedom from fear." If you have the chance to add a fifth freedom to this list, what would it be? Feel free to invent a new freedom or to choose one that already exists in the Bill of Rights or elsewhere. Please explain the reasons for your choice. Looking for happiness is the natural tendancy of each member in society. If I had chance to add a fifth freedom to this list, I would choose the freedom of each person looking for his own happiness. Firstly, each person is a member of the society. If one person tried looking for his happiness, and got it, the others would follow him. It encourages people to make themselves stronger and happier. It leads to the result that the society will be stronger and happier. Secondly, humanbeing was born not to work, work and work. They have right to enjoy the life, to find the happiness. One of the obvious example is Vietnamese society twenty years ago. People work with fixed salary, no matter how dilligent they are, and they can never be a rich man. It results in people's laziness. Workers went to factories just for chatting. Because of that wrong policy, Vietnam became one of the poorest countries in the world. Looking for happiness is a natural and neccessary freedom of human being. That's why I would like to add it in the Bill of Rights as the fifth freedom.
  3. Right now I need some thing about application essay as well as writing in genaral. A good collection of famous books is good, too ( such as Asimov's books )
  4. Hi TrungLeHa, why do you recommend people using the Princeton Review? I'm using Barron and I see that it's very similar to Kaplan one. Can you tell me in details about the advances of Priceton to the others like Cliff, Barron, Cambridge...?
  5. I almost have no idea about the SAT books. But I strongly recommend you using the 10 Real Sats from CollegeBoard. It's never a good strategy book, but the best resource for practicing. Right now I'm using the Barron one, and I satisfy with it. Until now I'm not only using the Barron, but also trying to read as much as possible articles about Scientific topic, and it's the absolutely preferential way to improve the score to me. I have a good website to practice Reading, but the articles are a litle bit easier than the SAT reading part. http://www.scientificamerica.com Have fun.
  6. Hi, We are forming a group to learn TOEFL with Mr Manh. We welcome anyone who are living in Hanoi to join us. At the moment, we have approximately 15 members. This amount is enough for Mr Manh's class but the problem is, only some of them have Application Form ( the request of MR Manh ). We think, beside practicing with Testmagic's material, we should have more intensive study, and Mr Manh offers us those things. So If you want to join us, just e-mail me: onggiavabienca@hotmail.com. If you don't know who Mr Manh is, go to EnglishClub at the website http://www.ttvnol.com to find out. Thank you for your attention.
