I'd like to try... The landing location is at 15 miles due east of the Manhattan airport (the first destination point), so it located: sqrt(8^2 + 15^2) = sqrt(289) = 17. The location is located 17 miles from current airplane 'ground' location. In order to get there from above, the location is located at: sqrt(6^2 + 17^2) = sqrt(325) = 5 root(13). The location is 5 root(13) from current airplane exact location. Given 3 minutes left to arrive to that location it has to move with a speed of: 3 minutes = 1/20 hour velocity = distance / time = 5 root (13) / (1/20) = 100 root(13). So it will need to travel at a speed of 100 root(13) m/hr. The answer is (D)... is it? :shy: Cheers, Zulfikar Dharmawan
