  1. Hi, Ritendra, Your information is truly helpful for us to understand the picture. Can you also let us know what is on the I-20 form specificly? Is TOEFL score also recorded on it? Many thanks! Happyking....
  2. Dear Thaiva, Thanks for yr input. This morning, I got another offer from Simons offering scholarship to cover 60% of tuition fee. Notre Dame's offer will cover 95% of tuition fee. I wish to study more and ideally hear from someone who has been in these schools. Thanks and I will post you of my final decision.
  3. Dear all, I thank you so much for making this site so meaningful for all the applicants. Just a short note to post my application results: Notre Dame (MBA): accepted with fellowship to cover 65% of tuition and fee. Neeley (MBA): accepted with assistantship to cover full tuition Ceibs: accepted with scholarship on waiting list I would most welcome any of your input that will help me to make a wise final decision. Thank you all!!![goodjob]
  4. Dear Erin, Sunxcat, Thaiva, Thank you all for yr warm congratulates!! I finished applying for 4 business schools, and now are waiting for the offer by mid/Mar. As an international student, I'm quite late in the application, escpecially, because I need some kind of scholarship to faciliate my study. If I can't get in my dream school, I'll try again next year by being an early bird. :) Fyr, my husband is now working on GMAT and TOEFL, my first recommendation is TESTMAGIC + [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. I told him that Erin is a hero to testtakers!! All the best to you all.
  5. Today I got my score from ETS by phone: total: 647 part 1: 61 part 2: 68 part 3: 65 writing: 5.5 I took GMAT in Oct and then went on overseas biz trip untill Dec. In Dec I worked on application essays. So I studied 2 hours each day and made more intensive study starting from 6/Jan. The test is on 17/Jan. I tried to concentrate on listening, but I missed the first listening question. A few other listening questions are quite easy, but I failed to pay attention to the details, so I had to guess the answers. For grammar and reading, I benefited mainly from the preparation for GMAT. I got a good reading speed. I did all the grammar test on TestMagic. That helped a lot. For writing, I benefited from reading Erin's posts ---- I tried to put a little "water" into my essay. That helped. My essay is kind of vivid style. For yr ref, my GMAT essay is also 5.5 Well, good luck to future testers.
  6. Linda, you are helping a lot of people! One more question, how does ND inform result? By phone? e-mail? snail mail? or the web? tks
  7. Erin, This is the beauty of this forum: meaningful exchange of information, people feel cared about, warm help available...... Thank you so much, Erin and Linda!
  8. Hi Linda, I feel I know you even just through a few posts. I do my best on the interview and let you know result. tks.
  9. Linda, How is the interview from ND? I received interview request and I have no ideas how to prepare. Any input? Thanks.
  10. Refaat, Sorry, I was mistaken by saying that "Conduct" was from an abbreviated clause. Actually, it isn't. Instead, "she conducted on the role of hormones" is the clause modifying "the research".
  11. Vera, thank you for yr suggestions. I tried to place order by phone, but I don't have my 7-digit registration number. But finally, later this morning, I succeeded in faxing the order to ETS. I hope they will be able to proceed it accordingly without delay. Thanks a lot. Wish you good luck.
  12. tks for yr input. You are correct, but I'm not sure whether "direct mail" can be alone without modifier.
  13. Refaat, "conducted" here is an abbreviated clause, so no problem. B is incorrect. A single countable noun should not appear without proper modifier. tks.
  14. While studying the chemistry of human body, Dr. Rosalyn Yalow won a Nobel Prize for the research she conducted on the role of hormones.
