Hi everyone, just completed a form for additional score reports, and there is a note "Since the interpretive data is composed of recent test takers, the percentile ranking of an individual's score may have changed between the time they took the test and the present". I took the test in April, scored pretty average, but still a nice percentile. Since the October test already took place, does that mean my percentile is changed? If it's a drop, I don't want it reported and that means everything was useless.. Does it also mean that good scores must be reported quickly, just in case?

autocell, thanks for your opinion. I think I'll just give up UC, 10 universities will be enough. My SOP is coming..no, crawling, but I think it will be pretty good, my universty is one of the few pretty well known from my country. Now I've got stuck with my transcripts, I haven't finished my master's yet, and they haven't officially got my grades for the last 2 years of study. And with this my GPA must be much closer to 4! Don't have an idea how to present this, maybe, I'll ask my academic referee to mention that in the LOR..childish, though. chia, if you need examples of mid-range schools, you may look at my list. I wanted to add Tufts, Purdue or UPenn, but thought better of it, I wouldn't cope with that much.

I've got an impression that UC is very very competitive and getting there without any publications would be very tough. Maybe I'm wrong, what UC school do you think is most loyal to internationals? I see you're located in California, maybe you know about these schools..I don't feel like wasting money hoping for a miracle, budget is too limited for that..

Hi, autocell. A great idea. I'm into MCB too, hope to get some advice here about schools. My aim is to get at least somewhere with my not-so-perfect qualifications: overall GPA -haven't calculated yet, 4.7 out of 5 undergrad major in physics, getting MSc in june - biophysics&cell bio GRE v440 q780 w5.0, biochem 87% TOEFL expected OK. research exp. more than 3 years, two projects, no pubs though. some work in the educational Molbio software production, does that count? I think of applying to Duke UW-Madison Utexas-Houston UMass Med Rochester Pittsbourgh Rutgers UMD-college park U of Alabama Brandeis I know the first 2 are good, what about the others, are they decent enough?
