Hi,
Pls suggest me is there any alternate way to solve below problem...
Victor's job is to complete series of identical jobs. If victor is supervised at work, he finishes each job three days faster than if he is unsupervised. If Victor works for 144 days and is supervised for half the time, he will finish a total of 36 jobs. How long would it take Victor to complete 10 jobs without any supervision?
A. 34
B. 52
C. 60
D. 70
E. 92
What i did was....I split 144 into two parts..72 days supervised and 72 days unsupervised. Then I split 36 into two parts such that after I split 36, 72 should be divisible by the resulting two parts. So, I split 36 as 24 n 12. So, 24 parts he worked when he was supervised and 12 parts he worked when he was unsupervised. So, 3 days (72/24) he took to complete 1 job when he was supervised and 6 days (72/12) when he was unsupervised. So, to complete 10 jobs when not supervised, he would take 60 days to complete (10*6) . The correct answer is 60. But I want to know better approach..
