  1. Hi All, Took my GMAT Dec 29th and the score was 690 (got 600 a year back). I expected at least a 700, but my GPREP and Manhattan GMAT were giving 680, so may be that was an indicator. I am not sure as which schools will meet my criteria and where will scores will be competitive. I want to do part-time MBA, weekend/ evening programs. I work in Mfg/ IT consultant. UnderGrad from IIT, and Masters Eng from Purdue. MBA preferred in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics. 1) What are the top Part-time schools? and where will I get accepted? 2) I am thinking of doing the applications of my own, not sure if I plan to take help from any MBA consultants for admissions. Will that help? 3) Is my score competitive for the top-schools - Full time? If so, which schools? 4) Should I retake GMAT? Scared if the score goes down! This forum has been of great help. Thanks to all.
  2. In 1527 King Henry VIII sought to have his marriage to Queen Catherine annulled so as to marry Anne Boleyn. (A) so as so marry (B) and so could be married to © to be married to (D) so that he could marry(D) (E) in order that he would marry OA: D I am not sure why is C wrong - "sought to"..........."to be married to".
  3. D tells - who is more likely to join - middle class elderly 'than' economically disadvantaged elderly E explains (substantiates) : people join their own groups to further their own interests. Thus - Middle class people have joined for their own interest instead of the interest of the economically disadvantaged elderly people.
  4. Whino- The thimb rule is that the pronoun should refer to the immediate antecedent. In this case, the immediate antecedent is 'workers' for they so D passes. © provide workers with unpaid leave in order that they (D) to provide workers with unpaid leave so that they can What I don't get is why is C incorrect? subjunctive?
  5. © provide workers with unpaid leave in order that they (D) to provide workers with unpaid leave so that they can Why is C incorrect?
  6. Isn't transatlantic flight modifying Charles Lindbergh in E?
  7. Carpenters, dentists, sewing machine operators, needlepointers, piano players, and indeed anyone who works with their hands for long hours can get carpal tunnel syndrome. (A) anyone who works (B) anyone working © workers (D) those for whom work is (E) any people who work OA: E
  8. A - Bob came as close as anyone has ever come. B - Bob came as close as anyone ever had been. A seems to be parallel and also, it compares everybody from past till the present.
  9. 1) E is concise over C. Because X happened, Y happened. 2) Also 'extent of possible overpayments' is better than 'possible extent of overpayments'. The investigators are determining the 'extent' rather than 'possible'.
  10. What does 'it' refer to in Option C? ship or the submarine?
  11. Third year = 40 Non-Third = 60; Non Second = 70, thus second = 30. Fraction (second/ non-third) = 1/2. What is the OA?
  12. ans = C. stem: 500,000 = Lab + Mat + G/L(Gain or Loss). ques: G/L > 150,000 1: Tc = L+M = 3M. Thus: L = 2M. Not sufficient. 2: G/L > L: Not sufficient. Combined: G/L > 2M total = 2M + M + (G/L) > 5M 5M M G/L>2M = 200,000>150,000
  13. Does anybody know if Test centers allow ear plugs or not? Just a thought! Thnx! Cruiser.
  14. I think for the second logic; consider s = 12 rather than 8 (because all prime factors) and r = 18. 2,3 are the common prime factors, but r/s = not an integer.
