  2. From question stem we deduce that x = 0 or 5 or -2. BUt we need one definite answer instead of 3. from 1, x 0 , x7 Insuff as x could be 5 or -2 from 2, x -3, x 5 insuff as x could be 0 or -2 combining, 1 and 2, X0 ,7,-3,5 hence we have x = -2 Hence sufficient.. Ans -C Hope you are clear on this now.
  3. i choose D too.. BUt now i realise, "been" has to be pressent. Also will is correct

  8. hi all, please evaluate my essay below and also how much can i score on this one.. "When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete, everybody will respect you." Often a elementary school teacher may have a conversation with the parents of her students on how parents shouldn't compare their kids to other's and how the competition should be hale and healthy. For kids who are in their blossoming stages of their life, this idea may work as a boon rather than bane. However, this practise if taken as a life long policy may cast doubts on being favourable at all times.. On the one hand, when we compare ourselves with our friends or collegues, we get a platform to evaluate ourselves. We get an idea of what our talents are, how blessed we are, or what our limitations are.. And this in turn may motivate us to improve ourselves.. We become ambitious and this inspires us to set goals for ourselves thus gives new meaning to life. On the other hand, people who are happy with the way they are may in fact also lead a blissful life as they may be believers of the motto "Ignorance is bliss".However, they are unaware of how weak or strong they are compared to their friends and peers or where they stand in their career path.. Although for someone who may be too good and the smartest in his work place and is undoubtedly on par with his peers, this may not do much harm, for someone who needs to improve and learn from his surroundings, this may prove to be a terrible mistake. As a person who doesn't evaluate oneself or learn from past mistakes or is competitive, his chances of climbing high on the ladder of succes may become bleak. His boss or peers may start giving up on him, stop expecting him to grow or in the worst case scenario even stop giving him any chances at all..Rather than gain respect, such a person may experience getting avoided and feel depreciation in the quality of his life.. In conclusion, unless one is so sure of ones capabilities and talents that one doesnt need to compare onesself with anyone, and is a born leader comanding respect from all, in todays competitve environment, it is safe to stop for a moment to compare and evaluate ones standpoint. Some one who learns from ones mistakes and compliments the good in others, acknowledging his own shortcomings is always respected and looked up upon. Such a person has a vast scope for growth and his learning and quality of life curve is on the high.

  14. if angle is more the length will be less as they are between 2 parallel lines. try to construct a figure, and it will help you understand better.
  15. my answers - 1 B 2 A 3 A because from 1 we get that n is odd.. (2k is even) and for any odd number we see that n^3 - n is divisible by 4. whereas from 2 it leads to n = 2and n =3 which both give 2 different answers when applied to question stem. hence insuff.
