I have following credentials: GPA : 2.61/4.0 GRE : 1250/1600 Quant : 740, Verbal : 510, AWA : 4.5 2 years software dev experience Could someone please tell me what are my chances in following univerisites univeristy of Syracuse Texas arlington kansas state Kindly tell me where else could i apply with these credentials. Thanks people for replying, Ahem sorry i got it wrong i was asking about University of Illinois at Chicago not Uni of Chicago and by IIT i meant Illinois Institute of Technology. Well the website of Uni of Illinois at Chicago states that you gotta have a GPA of 3.5 and GRE of 1200+. I dont know if i should even try at this place. Can anyone advise me on this. Also could you guys please tell me about some other universites in USA and Canada where i stand a chance with my credentials.

Well its top notch here in my country but i dont think that makes any difference if you are applying to USA or Canada. Cause the schools here are not known well abroad. I guess they treat all of them as same. What do u think about these schools IIT, Uni of Chicago, Wayne State, UT Arlinglon, Ok state, Wichita state Tell me about your opnion regarding these schools

Hello, Can anyone please help me with US universites. I have the following scores TOEFL : 280/300 GRE : 1250/1600 , Quant 740 , Verbal 510 GPA : 2.63/4.0 One year software development experience I want to pursue Masters in Computer Graphics.

I am from Paksitan, I gave my TOEFL on 20th November 2003. And I havent got my scores yet. I gave GRE on 4th December 2003 and the scores have reached me and my university. But neither me nor my university have got the TOEFL scores yet. I have mailed them but they say u will have to wait for 3 to 5 days. What the hell ............ 130 Dollars they take and what a pathetic service they have. I think I will have to call to malayasia to ask them whats wrong .......... and this will cost me another fortune ...........i am really angry about this ....... the deadline is 15th March now how the hell will my scores reach them ................... ahhhhh .....

Fortune and Psyoutlaw thanks for replying. Psyoutlaw could you tell me about the easy Masters programs then....and any idea about masters from European countries, cause Europe is free. Fortune could you give me more examples of the universites where chances of aid are bright. I mean the list of uni where is should apply. :)

Hello people I need your help, I have done Batchelors in Computer system engineering and want to apply to USA for direct PHD program not in masters cause I have heard that there are less chances of getting assistance at masters. Can you please suggest where should I apply, I need financial assitance, cant afford to pay. Rumen, you will do good...dont worry...I went through a lot of old posts and found that you are diligently solving problems :) ... I can post some of the questions if this forum allows .... ETS asks you not to reproduce the questions though :) I think all the topics were covered I got emm from Probability and Geometry, Work rates etc .....but most of emm seemed to take much more time then the one I did on the PowerPrep.....

Guys guide me please, should I give GRE CS or not considering my low GPA and average score on GRE General. How much time is needed for prep of GRE CS.....and how difficut it is..?

Just a suggestion to all those taking GRE, I gave GRE on Dec 4th and the questions that I got on the test were 3 times more difficult then those on PowerPrep so do good prep for Quant.

Well thanks vinay and sunxcat, hmmm I will go with the application process now and see if I get lucky......Otherwise will retake GRE to try again for the next fall....Some one told me that GRE CS can help a lot in getting admissions ..... ohhh god but it must be very difficult. Thank you again

Hello people I gave my GRE today and really @#$% up everything. I got very different score from my PowerPrep. In my first PP I got 400 in verbal and 710 in quant. But in my second PP I got 640 in Verbal and 720 in quant .........but on actual GRE I made a mess of the verbal and got 510 in verbal :( and in quant 740. Now I may have to give it again if I dont get admission anywhere ....... had I got what I was getting in PowerPrep..........:( ... please give me your suggestion guys should I retake the test ........ I want to do masters or PHD from a US university in 40th to 50th rank but with some financial assistence the other big problem is my extremely low GPA, its 2.61 ......ahhh considering all this should I retake the test.........Erin !!! anyone !!! help please
