  1. some time....gmatPrep score is diluted..means....some questions have already been solved by us before we take gmatprep....this results in diluted score. Did you guys solve all questions in GMATprep as new questions. 4-5 ques..also make significant diff.
  2. Essays score, which is out of 6, is not given immediately. It is given only after 7-20 days and with your official score report. Only quant and verbal....i.e. score out of 800 is shown at test centre.
  3. 1560 in GRE......is awesome. I would like you to notice this too.......Recently, I was reading some article, which mentioned that few colleges do not mind considering GRE score in lieu of GMAT.....so just check out what your dream colleges think of it......no harm in checking out...but who knows getting this information might save you lot of time, effort and some cash.
  4. I like B for same reason as btit.
  5. Here we are talking about effect of "coordination of monetary policy"...hence sentences with "their effect" are out.....B and D are out. (A) it is unlikely that its effect on their size is significant wordy © affecting their sizes are not likely to be significant "who is affecting" is not clear (E) its effect on their size is not likely to be significant correct and concise
  6. What were your scores in GMATPrep tests 1 & 2? Had you "completed" OG 11? What was your target score?
  7. Though, you correctly wrote that C should be the right answer....but the reason that "it" is problematic is not that "it" doesn't have clear referent. Logically "it" can only point to "profit"...but in sentence it is given as plural "profits".....which is a issue...hence for this reason "it" does not fit here.
  8. Agree with A. "largely offsets" hints towards singular noun which is "amount". A and E remains. (A) an amount that is 10 percent higher than the previous year's figure Correct (E) an amount that is 10 percent more than the previous year was incorrect comparison. amount vs year B,C,D have other issues too... (B) which is 10 percent more than the previous year incorrect comparison © which is 10 percent higher than it was the previous year (D) 10 percent higher than the previous year's figure does not fit with second part of sentence
  9. A. which increased five percent during the first three months of this year after it fell with profits...."it" is incorrect B. which had increased five percent during the first three months of this year after it had fallen with profits...."it" is incorrect C. which have increased five percent during the first three months of this year after falling Correct D. with a five percent increase during the first three months of this year after falling with does not fit here E. with a five percent increase during the first three months of this year after having fallen with is awkward + wordy

  15. For percent, we will use "less"....A,D & E are out. costs is plural..hence singular "amounts" is out..hence C wins.
  16. (A) cuts were made in nonsalary compensation, as in (B) cuts were made in such nonsalary compensation as Correct © cuts were made in such nonsalary compensation as those in (D) cuts in nonsaIary compensation were made in areas like (E) there were cuts made in nonsalary compensation, in areas
  17. Although she had been known as an effective legislator first in the Texas Senate and later in the United States House of Representatives, not until Barbara Jordan’s participation in the hearings on the impeachment of President Richard Nixon in 1974 was she made a nationally recognized figure, as it was televised nationwide. A. later in the United States House of Representatives, not until Barbara Jordan’s participation in the hearings on the impeachment of President Richard Nixon in 1974 was she made a nationally recognized figure, as it was B. later in the United States House of Representatives, Barbara Jordan did not become a nationally recognized figure until 1974, when she participated in the hearings on the impeachment of President Richard Nixon, which were Correct C. later in the Untied States House of Representatives, it was not until 1974 that Barbara Jordan became a nationally recognized figure, with her participation in the hearings on the impeachment of President Richard Nixon, which was D. then also later in the United States House of Representatives, not until 1974 did Barbara Jordan become a nationally recognized figure, as she participated in the hearings on the impeachment of President Richard Nixon, being 1) "then also" not required 2) "not until 1974 did Barbara Jordan become a nationally recognized figure, as she participated in the hearings". It appears as if she did not become recognized figure as she participated in the hearings 3) "being televised nationwide". incorrect. E. then also later in the United States House of Representatives, Barbara Jordan did not become a nationally recognized figure until 1974, when she participated in the hearings on the impeachment of President Richard Nixon, which was

  19. You don't need code. You just need name of schools. You will be shown page with search functionality and then you can search and select the schools. for e.g. search for "Texas" can give you colleges such as "Texas A&M University" and others.
  20. IMO B. Only one emotion has been mentioned here....so "was anger" is correct. Now it is b/w B and D... D is incorrect, since, "prevent from" is the right idiom.....in D, we have this awkward construction....."and preventing the wounds ................ to begin healing"
  21. OA is C and as correctly pointed by Bob, this is gmatprep question. http://www.www.urch.com/forums/gmat-sentence-correction/51879-gmatprep-ceos-salary.html Any good explanation from gurus?
