Congratulations. Its a pretty good score. But, considering your results in mock test, it seems like you messed up being tensed. If you decide to retake, remain very cool during the test. I guess retaking will increase your score. Best wishes :).......

in october 2011, i am going to take GMAT for the third time in my life. you might ask, why i am in australia even if i have a GMAT score. the reason is that i got scholarship here. and, i already have an international paper on capital structure. and another one on investors' behavior has been accepted for another int'l journal

well, i solved the LSAT CR and RC for the first time i took GMAT. what i feel is that the answers have a pattern in LSAT. in one reading you can identify the correct answer, but in GMAT, the CR's answer choices are somewhat vague. sometime you may get lost, however you have to choose one answer from them. may be i am wrong. but, after coming from test center for the first time, i felt that if i want to sit for GMAT i should practise GMAT question not anyother.

Hello: I am from a south-asian country. I did my bachelor and MBA in Finance from my home country. Then i started another Master of Finance by Research in Queensland University of Technology in Australia. One of my senior fellows (who did his phd in finance from USA) told me that chances are very low that i will get an admission to Phd in Finance in some North American Universities. is that true provided i have a decent GMAT score and research experience?

k/6 +m/4 = t/12 or, (2k+3m)/12 = t/12 or, 2k + 3m = t......(a) as k is a multiple of 3 according to (1) we can assume k=3x thus putting k=3x in (a) we get 2.3x + 3m = t or, 3(2x+m) = t so, 3 is a factor of t. on the other hand, 3 is also a factor of 12 thus, (1) is sufficient -------------------------------------------------------------------------- for (2) m is a multiple of 3. if we assume m=3y then the equation looks like 2k+3.3y=t. as long as we don't know whether k has a factor of 3 we can not take 3 common from this equation. so we can not say 3 is a factor of t. thus, (2) is insufficient -------------------------------------------------------------------------- so A should be the answer

thanks to all of you. i think it is worth mentioning that i am a non-native english speaker from a south asian country. i feel i am lacking in reading habit which cruises my GMAT score. i can remember a lot and good at math. When i took a practice test of GRE i felt it more comfortable than a real GMAT. so, i want to take GRE in place of GMAT. dear FIN5965426, you are absolutely right......i want to pass a nice life after finishing a phd from north america and coming back to my homeland. i want to be a professor in any reputed local university in my country and do some research work in perspective of my country. Thus, you guys must already have understood that my aspiration is not so high...but i want a phd in finance from a mid-level university of USA/Canada. and taking a GRE to get admission can make my life easy. how do you thing about the plan of taking GRE?
