  1. AWESOME score Nidhi, Congratulations, thats a GREAT score. How long did u prepare? i mean did u do full time or were u working? all the very best for your apps. Im sure you'll get lucky there too :)
  2. Excellent score ruchia, congratulations. all the best for apps. Also why dont you share your prep techniques for quant. I guess the low score in verbal could be because of not answering the last 2 questions than anything else! im sure with those 2 answered the score would have been much higher. Nevertheless 1390 is indeed a wonderful score. once again all the very best.
  3. Guys checkout with the respective university websites. First decide on which univs offer the course you take and decide on some of them and then checkout their websites which would contain the complete info you seek regarding the course and also the deadlines and ofcourse the GRE & TOEFL scores required.
  4. Great score and great post davy.jones, all the very best for your apps. and do keep us informed the univs u get into too... all the best once again.
  5. Yes thanks a lot for sharing, thats what makes this forum and the people who participate interesting - help and be helped.
  6. Yes i agree with Vasoolraja, just checkout with the univ requirements and then decide whether you have to retake the test. if you are aiming for the top 50 univs its better to retake the test. Your math part is good so you have to concentrate on the verbal part while polishing your math a bit more. All the best.
  7. great score! and dont worry too much on the score part. I still believe you have an amazing score there. Yup concentrate on your apps and im sure you would get into a good univ of your choice. all the best.
  8. For question No.1, i agree with 'shgre' and the answer should be 27 which is B. Because if it is the maximum of the 2 then the total number of students would never match the original figure of 236. If its 27 then the students who took algebra would be 115 and the number of students who took chemistry would be 94. Hence the total number of students would be: Algebra+Chemistry+students who took BOTH = 115+94+27 = 236!
  9. Hi, I have seen a couple of members mention that probability and permutations & combinations questions aren't that frequent in GRE, is it true? On an average how many questions can one expect in the test from these topics? :hmm:
  10. Hey thanks and all the very best for your attempt in October and im sure you'll do well this time, just take care of the timing part.
  11. Great score dvader, congrats. Nice debrief.
  12. Awesome score, truly spectacular :) and all the very best for your Biology subject test, do well.
  13. Nice score Fidel, so where are you planning to apply? and as davy.jones said is it true about the 7 passages? and you said some of the passages had 1 question, so what were the passages all about? in the sense the topics, u can just let us know without actually giving it away :)
  14. Hi Rhonechica, yes you can give GRE once again, but my question to you is are the Univs that you applied/applying to need higher scores than what you have already got. In my view the 1280 that you have is quite good unless you are aiming for the top 25-30 univs. So just check out and see if the schools would accept you already with the same scores, infact i have heard of people getting full fee waiver/scholarship at your score levels. Then again this is my opinion and infact if you have already decided about giving the test once again, my best wishes are with you and this time try scoring much higher
  15. sandipank summed it well, i guess it's always better to go with the formula mentioned as u dont have to worry how many digits are being asked, like in 2,3 or 5 digits.
  16. Awesome score, congrats. thanks for the info on your prep, it sure helps. all the best for your apps.
  17. [clap] Excellent score and all the very best for your admissions, and thanks for sharing your thoughts on your prep
  18. Congrats, great score. i wish your verbal was tad higher and you would have really been in the big league, however with just 2 weeks prep i think you ARE in the big league. all the best for your apps.
  19. Aweasome score!! needless to say the kind of score that makes people flock to this forum and keeps them going. Amazing score indeed. So now what are your plans? where do you intend to apply? do share that info too. Where ever you apply all the very best for the admissions too.
