  1. Apply to university of maryland,College park(http://www.umd.edu) they have very good faculty in Telecom area especially DSP. And with your profile, I think you can take a chance
  2. There is no reasonable way to convert percentage into GPA or vice versa. But yes there are some international organisations which do it for you (like http://www.wes.org).
  3. Hi Friend, Few universities have direct PhD program, which takes undergraduates. You will be taking credits initially as you do for MS but within one year you have to pass the PhD Candidacy qualification exam. In this program you will be given MS degree on the way after fulfilling certain requirements. Most of the people chose the option of Direct PhD as it gives better chances of funding. But most of the people try for MS, so that they can later think about either options, that is to go for PhD or to go for the job. About 2 research interests, that is quite common. Now a days things are so interconnected that nothing follows in a single domain. Well for PhD also you have to take one Major and One Minor specialization. So there is no harm in specifying 2 research interests in my opinion, but do take advice from others also. Hope it helps, EDA

    I m new here!

Hi Ritu, I assume that you are from India. So I beleive that quant section will not be a problem to you. You have to concentrate on your verbal and analytical sections. In verbal if you have not already done so....try to go through all the wordlists of Baron and take as much practice tests as possible.
