But I don't read Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Economist. So I will read them. Your suggestion "It means scrutize it. What does it say? Whats the main topic and theme? Whats the actual scope, and what does the author hope to accomplish through this writing? Note the author's tone. It is sarcastic, approving, neutral, disparaging or skeptic etc. " will be helpful to me.

I really appreciate this forum because I learn a lot from it.:tup: But may I have some opinions about this forum? :)I totally agree that "you cannot download from the forum until you have posted enough threads ", however I cannot understand some of your rules such as "Waiting period (30 days)". :hmm:I know this is the way by which you keep the forum active, and I also know the meaning of "no pay, no gain". But your rules are somewhat rigid. Someone should get something when he/she spend time doing some work(I think you agree with this). As for me, I have spend several time in this forum and I love this forum, but when I want to download something that I badly need, your rules stop me...:wallbash:The most rule which I cannot accept is "Waiting period (30 days)". So long the time is!!! I believe few one have that patience. Let's see two cases: one registered long time ago(one year, for example), and not posted any thread until this month. One will not be limited the rule "Waiting period (30days)" . On the other case, one knew this forum not long before due to many reasons, and also post many threads, spending lots of time not only learn from others but also help others. The latter maybe pay more than, or the same as, the former do. The result is totally different: the former can download those he/she need while the latter cannot. Is it fair? I agree with you that we should post at least 100 threads before we can download from the forum. Although I post few threads many of which you would look down and regard as useless, they really take my time. Maybe you don't know how hard a foreign student post a thread in the language he/she is unfamiliar. In the following days I will try my best to done my homework(100 threads!!!). But I cannot wait 30 days for my test about one month to go. :(I need download some material such as word list, analogies and antonyms prep matial right now, as you know this will take time to remember them. The truth is I paid but I cannot gain from it. In addition, there are so many foreign students in this forum. Many of them have a sincere heart and truly want to learn somthing from seniors. But I see no seniors help them (you can see this thread: http://www.www.urch.com/forums/gre-awa/99324-why-dont-seniors-help.html ). The way they can get the help from seniors is from their experience thread and download some material from their sharings. I think forum is the place people share with each other. Since someone wish to share his/her experience to the novice, the forum should not keep novices from downloading the material. By the way, only novice need these things not seniors. If a novice do as you ask to do, maybe he will become a senior. At that time, do they still need that material which is basic like the word list? I have some advice to this forum about downloading rules if you don't mind. For example, posting 10 threads to exchange 1 material. Or 2 reputation points=1 downloading. Not this strict rule "Waiting period (30 days)". a user, qgh
