  1. Hi, Can somebody please explain how D is correct as oppose to B because in D it says "Mass determines" and in B it says "depending on it's mass." D sounds like mass is capable of thinking and determining vs something being determined based on mass. To me B makes more sense. Thanks!
  2. For choice A the and threw me off. Is the and correct there? "Minivans carry as many as seven passengers and, compared with most sport utility vehicles, cost less..."
  3. Hey bear&bull, good to know the difference between so X that and so that, thanks for that. Overall great explanation, but just curious why you wouldn't go with answer choice B over C just because of the parallelism. ..temperatures are so cold and the ice cap is so reflective that little of the polar...
  4. What does HTH stand for?
  5. "where there were" is more direct than "where there was a transmission" Hence, imo A.
  6. How to improve RC I'm not getting good scores on the reading comprehension section and my reading speed isn't really that fast either. I've gone through all of the official guide reading comp. material but I still need more practice. What additional books would you recommend I get and what more would you guys suggest I do? Thanks.
  7. imo B Isn't it suppose to be "its" b/c of "The Watsons, a prominent Staten Island family, has survived a close brush with;its..." and go with more than vs greater than b/c greater than is only used for #s?
  8. All of these answer choices seem wrong. I'm between A and E. Reason for A is that if treatment is only available in Rubaria then people who have it in Terland go to Rubaria to get treated therefore the rate is high in Rubaria. But I don't think this is right because the argument doesn't talk about cities being next to each other or people going to the other city.... Reason for E is similar to what annihilation said above. But I also think this could be wrong because the arugement doesn't mention a specific group, it just says in general the rate is high... I'll guess A if I had to on the test. What's the OA?
  9. i agree with bear&bull... this is testing count nouns... fewer and many go with count nouns as oppose to less and amount that go with non-count nouns. B it is!
  10. I don't understand the reasoning for for choosing B over A. Can someone elaborate on that. Thanks.
