  1. Hey muaztrek!! thanx so much for the response... sorry if i wasn't clear in my last msg, but i did a considerable amount of preperation so far.. abt 6 weeks or so, BUT with a full time job, and MOST of this time was spent on Barrons master word list ....which i felt not as producyive as i would have hoped.... i'm going for a public policy degree so i'm afraid i do need a pretty decent verbal score!! ... the good news is that i managed to take one week off work so i would have a solid 9 full days to prepare  .... anyway... thanx again for your tips... talk to u later... Regards.....
  2. Hey man congrats on the score!! did u just do the Kaplan's "words in a box" for ur vocab preperation???
  3. Congrats muaztrek!! :) ... Excellent score for someone working full time... I'm in the same situation since i have a demanding full time job.. would be really grateful if u can help with a word of advice... my test is in two weeks, i really liked the fact that u have ditched Barron's 3500 list and still managed to get a very decent score in verbal.... what i did so far is that have i gone through ALL the barrons 3500 list, but still 50:50 at best plus the math review... what do suggest to do in the final 2 weeks for verbal??? focus on the high frequency list plus BB exams?? and what did u do for math?? Regards, Ironeye
  4. Thanx a lot davy.jones... finally got Barron's and started on the WL's... pretty deadly if u wana do it quickly  ... i have a full time job - with long hours if i might add - so i'm trying to cram it on weekends and when i have few extra free hours mid week... up to WL no. 8 now... thanx 4 the tips again.. :)
  5. Hey davy.jones!! Congratulations on your score man, really GREAT! i just joined this forum abt 2-3 weeks ago and i think i only posted twice... thanks for all the insights, links, and downloads u provided... REALLY helpful... i have abt 2 months for my GRE, working on vocab but things are not as i'm hoping for.. which word list would u recommend, Big Book's (is it the one with abt 5000 words)?? or Baron's (abt 1500)?? and how much time u think 1500 words should take to properly memorise?? Thanxx :)
  6. Dear Boryana, Thank you soo much for your response... will try to utilise ur tips as much as possible... All the best for now :) Regards, Ironeye
  7. Great post Ali..!! thanx so much!! I was wondering if u can provide some insight into the follwoing plz... would u recommend memorising a whole list of words - say Kaplan's 500 word box, or the High Freq Words - BEFORE starting with the GRE practice tests?? i mean u can only answer so few correctly without really craming large sums of vocab words, no?? :hmm: Thanx..
  8. Hi Boryana, Really GREAT scores!! Congrats and hope ur studies in the Czech are goin as well as ur score!! :) ... i wz wondering if u can provide some help on a number of points plz: how long did your whole process of preperation for the GRE take?? and how long did it take you to memorise the Barone's 3500 list?? how did u organise ur time? did u do a lot of other intesive verbal practice as well, or was it just the Barone's list? Thanx...
