I guess Ph.D admits are more about the research you have done so far,publications etc.Your GRE scores look fine to me.

I suggest you retake ur GRE.Engineers definitely need a strong quant score.Itll improve ur chances of admission instead of settling for lower ranked univs.

inspite of good TOEFl and TWA and AWA scores,univs still need a decent verbal score of atleast 450.

hi bujji The more tests u take the more ur verbal skills get honed.I used the bogbook extensively for tht.For RC i read aldaily.com,also i had a collection of 82 passages.so i started attacking one per day.this helped.

you shd use babelfish.altavista.com to translate it.I have no clue where else to locate words from.

Hi I did encounter arnd 6 problemss but none of the topics u mentioned.they were mainly SD and normal distribbution ones.

fastidious means showing or demanding excessive delicacy or care . so c is the right choice as effusive means excessively demonstrative.

ya dont leave out any topic esp in quants......try to work out problems in all areas.that shd do.

hi pami I ws very surprised too when i saw non-barrons,bigbook words pop up within the first 10Qs.I have no clue how else can one learn new words other thn these books.anyways must have been my bad luck that this happened. yes,I am an engineer and hope to secure good admits.All the best with your GRE.

Hi folks. Ive got a gRE score of 1360 780Q,580V havean aggregate of 67%-BE in production engineering. 2.5 years work ex. Im looking at the following univs Univ of Washington Wayne state ASU Clemson SUNY buffalo TAMU rutgers Ohio state univ. can some one evaluate my chances at these places?
