  1. actually there's a typo in the question. In the option E there is an "in" . :( So no cigar for you there my friend. I easily ruled out E, because of 1) redundancy, even though..... but.. . Also "being made" , I'd tip the scales against E here, as being not usually among the correct answers(although that's not a reasonable way of ruling out the choice). But I think my redundancy point is valid. I had a tough choice between D and A. Didn't notice the he missing until you pointed it out. good job.
  2. hmm.. I think I'm getting a hold of the concept ppl. So in that case this sentence would also be correct? One of the Presidents who speak well is a dope. My reasoning seems to go as follows: Since all of the Presidents in question "speak" well, a plural verb pointing to all presidents must be used, and since only one among the presidents in question "is" a dope, we use the singular noun ? How about this? One of the biggest loopholes in the pact is the fact that blah blah blah.... Disclaimer: No presidents of any country "were" meant to be scorned in the creation of this post! Any indirect references are purely fictitious.
  3. putneyswope, a quick question, when exactly is it permissible to do such rearrangements for cross-checking? " then stabilizing at six billion cubic feet a day" acts as a modifying phrase here? If this were a clause or the likes are we still allowed to cross-check in this way ?
