Hello erin thanks for the reply. Well , according to the chart given, I scored 780 in it!!!!! That's the reason I am unable to justify that I can score this much in real one.:D I had total of 6 incorrect answers ( 4 in verbal, 2 in maths).My corrected scaled score , after all the calculations given, was 780. I had total raw score of 100 and scaled scores pf 47 and 50 in verbal and maths respectively. As i told earlier , i took the test respecting time limits. ( for ex 22 sc qns in 25 min, 18 rc in 25 min etc) But if u say that the scores shud be comparable then atleast i can hope to get around 720-730 in the real one. What do u think?

hello erin well , more that the exact conversion of corrected score, Iam interested in knowing that how well scores earned in this test, under given time constraints, correlate with the real one. See, even if corrected raw score is bit different , it shud not matter much. Atleast the answer key is correct. So by finding that how many correct answers one got, one can have an idea on one's performance. I hope u got my point. So, i just want to know the relation between score earned in this test visa a vis what shud one expect in real one.

Hello erin, I just took one of the recently released paper test 55. As u know , this one has all new questions not found in [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. I took the test respecting time constraints given in that ( for ex 22 SC qns in 25 min, 20 DS qns in 25 min and 18 RC questions in 25 min). I calculated my score through chart given in that. Before disclosing my score, I would like to know how does it correlate with the real one? I know there cannot be fixed answer to this but still i wud like to hear erin's views on this and also ofose who have taken this one as well as the real one. I understand that in the real one standard of qns ought to be higher as time given is more. But if we consider that in these paper tests we have less time per sc/rc/cr etc, then arent the scores comparable? Afterall both are from ETS and ETS claims that scores are comparable. I dont think that given the time limits questions were that simple. Please answer my query.

Ya E should be the answer. For me confusion was between A and E .But in A , using both such and as is unnecessary. Second , and more important, reason is, in A each before three networks would need use of singular form of verb broadcasts. E rectifies this problem by placing plural "networks" before each so that it can take plular form broadcast. May be ERIN can explain better.

Thanks for the reply. Iam talking about the set II which has 3 tests. Which one of them is previously unseen? And when is ETS releasing remaining two sets?

ETS just released another set of paper tests containing 3 tests. I would like to know if tests are any different from OG? The last set which was released few months back also contained 3 tests and only one of that was new. What about these new 3 tests??????? please help erin

Hello dua montreal and quebec nowadays stuck me hard:) .... I am from India and will be joining Mcgill MBA this fall. Hopefully will be at montreal by 15 aug. At present preparing for last hurdle.... the visa!!! Have heard nice things about montreal. Regarding GMAT , i believe you have come to the right place. Erin and this site are truly altruistic in their approach. Your post appeared to be honest.:) congrats for ur score. But i was really wondering if u wrote ur scaled scores correctly. With 49 in quant and 35 in verbal, u shud have got 690 or max 700. I got 36 in verbal and 48 in quant and ended up with 690:(

thanks a lot erin.:) But still I wud say that one can easily get confused in this one. Erin can u tell any source, apart from verbal work out books, where one can get list of such idioms???

the question is from official tests released by ETS, so answer cannot be wrong. Erin , why are u taking so long this time.:) please help .
