I guess I have been going about this the wrong way, but I would still like to have a Influential ( if possible ) Professor to supervise my project. I finally got one Professor from my School to talk about my project, he said it needed more "Math" even though he NEVER TESTED my System. I had thought about adding more "Math" but that would slow the system even more. anyway, I still have a project that is Unsupervised. I would like to tell everyone about my system but without Direction, I am not sure how to do it correctly and safely.

Hello markiv, Thank you very much for the advice as an Advisor recently just told me to, "Go for an MBA in Computer Information Systems" Yes, my GPA is calculated from a US Institute. From a CUNY ( City University of New York ) School, as a matter of fact. Because of my deficiencies, I have been trying to find a Professor to help on a System I developed but I haven't found any takers. Of course, I understand that some professors might have projects of their own to work on, however, a majority of them have not responded to me. Thanks again markiv. -gohaku

I may have already brought this up in another topic thread but is it better to take the Paper Based Test versus the Computer Based Test? I'm not familiar with the Paper Based test but can you go back and answer Earlier Questions within One Section? Thansk again.

Sorry for posting this, as I'm sure some people will say, "You must be Dreaming!" but I would like to attend Graduate School with my Area of Study being in Computer Vision. I just took the GRE ( V: 320, Q: 640 ), my GPA is 2.1 and I can get Recommendations from 3 Professors. As you can tell, I have a GPA Problem; Lower than most that are posted around this site. I will also retake the GRE Obviously, but my main concern being with my GPA and whether my Recommendations will help me at all. The Schools that I would like to apply to require a GPA above 3.0 or 3.5. Question 1: Are there any Schools with a Graduate Program in Computer Science that do not require a Minimum GPA? Question 2: Should I go back to school for a 2nd Degree? Thanks for all that can help me out.

Hi everyone, I hope someone can answer my question about the GRE. I just took the exam and let's just say I'll be retaking the exam soon. Verbal: 320 Quantitative: 640 Writing: waiting.... anyway, I heard the Computer Based Test is adaptive but I did not know the number of Test sections varies from Test-Taker to Test-Taker. Like the Subject says, I took 2 Verbal Sections, 2 Quantitative and 1 Writing section. Is this something I should be concerned about and will this show up on my Official Score report? Thanks. What should you do if you already applied to many schools and ETS offers the CS Test after the Schools deadline?

The first email was sent around 12/22. The second email was sent around 1/3 with the URL of my System My project is related to Image Retrieval with Applications in Computer Vision. This Professor's research area is in Computer Vision. I did not state in my emails what type of student I am. I just graduated with an Undergrad Degree. Thanks again.

Thanks for your reply Psyoutlaw, I am still waiting for a reply from this one Professor from my School. Although it was at the wrong time, I contacted him about 1 day before the end of Final Exams. I keep wondering if he's interested at all and if not, would he say he's not interested? Classes will start again in a few weeks and although the Professors are still on vacation, I feel like contacting other Professors in other Schools. How much longer should I wait from a reply from this Professor? Thanks again.

I haven't started research. I am waiting for a response from a professor to see if he's interested in my project. This brings up another question, what's the right way to propose a project? I worked with one professor last semester and I proposed an idea but he didn't seem to go for it and I ended up working on his project. Also, Are there professors that do not accept project proposals?

Hi everyone, I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I have a problem concerning Relevant Recommendations. If there are no professors at my School that are knowledgable in the Area I am studying in, can I work with Professors in other Schools to obtain a recommendation and how do I go about doing that?
