  1. well, as for AWA my total practice time was 1 day (day before real GMAT) I went through OG11 AWA section. Couple of things 1. Stick to the Structure 2. Make sure the subject, verb , tense , parallelism and other things that you learned in sentence correction section are implemented properly while you write your analysis. 3. Do not make spelling mistakes 4. Keep 3-4 minutes spare for review (i failed to do so for the analysis of issue part in real GMAT - could not review my last para) 5. Trying to use intricate vocab might be futile, if you think its important. Its the structure and flow of idea that is important. Its like a movie screenplay - should make sense and should be coherent. Cannot spill the beans in middle of your analysis i.e. for instance keep conclusions for the end part :) I thinks that's about it... you should be ok if you have done an avg amount of reading and have done a lot of professional emails :) good luck -ST
  2. congrats NYG... 730 is awesome!! i got my AWA score today - 5.0 girish - if i give gmatprep a 5 on 5 as regards comparison to real GMAT then princeton will be 4 on 5.... so that's the closeness i felt... regardless, it is a good excercise course :) good luck folks! -st
  3. ok girish., First - register on the princetonreview site and login with ur new id. second- get the book from library and locate the serial number on the last page or some other place on the book. third - go to this site - The Princeton Review fourth - enter the serial number and click start, it should take u to a page where u can take tests... hope this helps... newyorkgirl - you are doing really well for urself... if kaplan gets u 680 something, u should end up with 750+ in real gmat for sure...
  4. practice, practice and practice.... no shortcut there for pinning Quant except for speed an accuracy :)
  5. Gmat prep is about 70-80% close to the real test in terms on the kinda of questions (Which includes different parameters like - difficulty, lengthiness, mix, trick et al)
  6. yes u can take gmat again and again, but the problem is one could inadvertently memorized the answers (like i did) - since the questions are same - so you could end up getting a score which is not reflective of your true aptitude. I would say avoid if possible.
  7. oops! forgot GmatPrep - Two tests - very important. 20% questions on real gmat are look-alikes of gmat prep with data change. take them like 2 weeks before the exam and one week before the exam (each)
  8. First, get a princeton gmat book, maybe from a library. there is a serial number on the book. register on The Princeton Review and look for some student tools link. in there register your book serial number and 4 tests will be available for u for free.. princeton is good, but the rest is OG11 and also Kaplan (i started with kaplan book)
  9. Real GMAT: 690 (Q48, V36) Kaplan CAT 1: 550 Kaplan CAT 2: 580 Kaplan CAT 3: 590 kaplan free online test 650 (week before real gmat) princeton online cat 1:690 princeton online cat 2:650 princeton online cat 3:620 princeton online cat 4:680 Gmat Prep 1:650 Gmat Prep 2:680 I guess I did not veer too much in my real GMAT from my practice tests... Though i thought a 700 would have been more holding...
