  1. Sorry for confusion, I have considered v and k as tenth digit... I am not considering the cube of v/k option. It is actually not very clear from the problem... I would write cube of v as "v^3" and not as "v3" Sorry again
  2. I think that fine should go with amount and not with numbers and Administration is singular here, so "has" is the right choice.. hence D... however, I am still not sure whether its or their is the right choice :-((
  3. A) Compared to other types of home fires, home fires caused by smoking in bed usually cause relatively little damage before they are extinguished. -- little damage so , no fatality B) Home fires caused by smoking in bed often break out after the home's occupants have fallen asleep. -- number of ppl smoking is reduced, so "should" be the number of smokers smoking in bed, so number of ppl dying should also reduce, but that is not the case... hence this stmt does not help resolve decrepency... -- the only way where this stmt helps to conclude why number of ppl dying is not reduced is the assumption that "although number of smokers have decreased, number of smokers smoking in bed were constant in 2 decades"... however this detail is not provided anywhere ... C) Smokers who smoke in bed tend to be heavy smokers who are less likely to quit smoking than are smokers who do not smoke in bed. -- only heavy smokers smoke in bed ... and they are not going to stop smoking ... so number of ppl smoking in bed remain the same ... so as the number of home fire and casualities ... -- those who are not heavy smoker , will not smoke in bed and are more likely to quit smoking , so the number of ppl dying should reduce, but that is not the case and we are here to prove that the number of ppl dying are the same as before ... so C is definitely not the answer D) An increasing number of people have been killed in home fires that started in the kitchen. -- not realted E) Population densities have increased, with the result that one home fire can cause more deaths than in previous decades. -- even with less incidents, more ppl can dye, so this argument help reach conclusion why number of ppl dying is not decreased ...
  4. B is the right choice here. One may think about D, but that is not the right answer, the reason being you need to know the risk level before OR at the time of giving employment. You don;t need to determine the chances in the currently employed ppl
  5. D seems to be the answer... What is OA ?
  6. Good question and nice discussion... Thank you guys, I m very weak in verbal and this will certainly help me
  7. This is v tricky... We also need to consider does sell other items including, but not limited to , coffee and desert ... so the explanation from minu make sense
  8. greatest possible percentage = 30 % ... no formula , common sense lowest possible percentage = 0 % ... no formula , common sense normal greatest possible percentage = 30/100 * 70*100 = 21 %
  9. 8c3 = 56 4c1* 6c1 = 24 56-24=32
  10. C is the answer if sum of digit... then, multiple of 11 {(10x+y) + (10y + x) } is subtraction of digit ... then, multilple of 9 {(10x+y) - (10y + x) }
  11. Both statements together are sufficient, but neither alone is sufficeint v3 - k3 ... assuming, v and k are the tenth digit of the numbers... 1) v-k=6 alone give many possibilities.. 2-(-4)... 8 - 2 so, v3-k3 is not known.... so, this stmt alone is not sufficient 2) vk>0 ... can lead to many choice where both v and k are of same sign (+ve or -ve) so, this stmt alone is not sufficient 3) Taking both together vk > 0 ... means, both v and k are of same sign and none of them is zero v -k = 6 , gives following options assuming, both v and k are postive v = 7,8,9 and k = 1,2,3 respectively in all these 3 case, v3-k3 = 60 assuming, both v and k are negetive v=-1,-2,-3 and k = -7,-8,-9 respectively. in all these 3 case, v3-k3 = 60 4) So, Both statements together are sufficient, but neither alone is sufficeint
  12. A is the answer 2nd statment is not sufficient for sure And, for the first statment, the uinit digit can be 2 to 9 (can not be 1) so, tenth digit to be multiple of unit digit it has to be, 4,5 (55?), 6,8,9 When the unit digit is even, it can never be prime number (except 2, which is not in scope here) For, 5 and 9, it is easy to see that, it will never be prime number, as tenth digit has to be 5 (for 5 unit) or 3/9 (for 9 unit) ...
