Presently, with my GMAT Score, GPA, and above average experience, I am thinking of applying to some of the top schools. I was wondering first, what level of school you would consider me eligible for? Second, I was wondering whether, in some of the essays, you would include the work done in College as an intern and as a Research Assistant, as that work helped guide me in my career path? Finally, considering the lateness of the application process, how long do you think it should take me to get approximately 6 complete applications out if I work approximately 60 hours a week, if I put the appropriate time into the applications? Thanks for your help, James

  3. Well, I'm taking the GMAT tomorrow afternoon. :( I hope I'm ready, I just wanted to thank you guys for having this site, it helps so much. It is by far one of the best tools I could have used in prep for this exam. Wish me luck, and I'll let you all know how I do when I find out.
  4. Thanks Erin, Do you have any sources for the most commonly used GMAT idioms? I used the Kaplan 800 book which gave a lot of good ideas for the Sentence Correction, which has really helped in identifying the mistakes (if any). But what are some good sources for the idioms?
  5. To be honest, I find that the problems that I am facing deal mainly with idioms. While, I know that I use idioms all the time, I never properly identify them as idioms. So, when looking at the sentence correction problems, I can identify the initial flaw in the original (if there is one), and from there correct the errors. But, the problems are generated when I get down to two, maybe three choices and the distinction is in the idiomatic correctness of the phrases. Basically, I can understand what the message is trying to convey, so I can't figure out which one conveys it properly.
  6. I'm doing really well with the timing of the test taking practices I've been doing. I'm also doing well with the math related sections, but it is the sentence correction sections that are hammering me. Do you have any test taking advice to offer a first timer to this forum? Thanks.
