Hi David, You provide great advice.I hope you can help me my profile: GMAT:710(q:49,v:37) awa:5 CGPA:7.52/10 undergrad college:National institute of technology,jalandhar(considered one of the top 30 eng colleges in india) WE:2 years as of now in accenture(working as a data analyst).not much of leadership but lotsa team activities. ec: school captain in high school. key organiser of various events in school,college. anchored/compered various stage shows in college/school. involved with nss(national social service) during udergrad. participated in 2,3 social activities organised by lions club. worked closely with a local NGO which has been doing great job,designed a website for them. If i apply to ISB,nanyang,NUS,HEC and INSEAD..:),am i being too optimistic ? considering that i have almost no leadership role in my WE. anywhere outside asia pacific i need scholarship. m i being stupid to expect scholarship with this profile?

yup..got the online official report..however..havent recieved the hard copy yet.

Kaplan is good for a start.I used it in my initial stages of preparation.it helped me build an overall idea of GMAT.it has almost 300 practice questions which are good. HOwever..the questions in real test are more like OG. 1 mistake I did was spent a lot of my precious prep time with kaplan and didnt spent as much time on OG and other official prep material. IMO,do kaplan but dnt ignore OG.

Hi, please evaluate my profile. GMAT:710(Q:49,v:37) GPA:7.52/10,NIT J(not sure how it is converted to gpa) wrk ex:3 years in 2010. currently with accenture in a 24*7 project worked for NSS(in college) and for a few other NGOs also,was a key member of the oganizing committe of college fests(mainly involved in getting sponsorship :D) Not sure if this profile could lead me anywhere in top 50.:hmm: somebody please have a look and suggest me schools.

you can refer to Beat The GMAT!. Its a very good blog with excelent strategy for GMAT prep. I personally started with kaplan premier edition and then moved onto OG11 For quant I did few of 1000PS and DS questions. for verbal I would suggest: spidey's notes for sc sahil's notes for SC testmagic forums Powerscore CR Bible:(I have heard its a good book but never had the time to use it.its a 300 pages book) kaplan verbal workbook. I did buy wren and martin grammar book.but didnt use it. Hope this helps.

you can add 80-100 points to your Kaplan score.Kaplan tests are usually tougher than actual GMAT.You are Ok in Quant.you need to stress more on verbal. I too had scored a 570 in one of the Kaplan CATs.. but then real test was lot easier than kaplan. As adabass has adviced identify your weak area and practice practice and practice. I found the sets,GMAC disclosed versions and gprep software the best material for practice
