  1. Hi www.urch.community, i have a question regarding the materials i want to start off my preparation! Is it okay to start with Barrons 11 th edition ( 13 thb edition is already on the market!) , Longman from 2006, official guide 3rd edition and The complete guide from 2006, too..... My question now is if the books are too old or if they still give a good preparation to get over 105, because thats what i need. I would be pleased to see any answer regarding my question ... Thanks in advance

  3. no it isnt a *n ...the oppsosite of a ^n ....its a and the n is written right beside the a but not in the same height i hope u understand what i mean and this for everything except a ... a down n = a down (n+4) hope anyone could solve this sequence!
  4. but it says without repetition that means u have ´for the first 8 possibilities and for the second 7 for the third 6 and the fourth 5 now i think ive got it =)
  5. iam gettin for the amount / interest ex. 2000 as a solution but not 20000... could u check if the given ans is wrong !
  6. Form a given set of numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9, find the number of ways of forming a four-digited number(without repetition)? is that right 8 C 4 ?? 2)Three men and women are candidates for two vacancies. A selector can choose two candidates. In how many ways can he makes his selection gonna post ans ..soon 3)How many different ways can two books be choosen from ten books, if two particular books are to never be selected??
  7. isnt question 2 ...288??? my way 8(100 digits) * 9(tenths digit) * 4=288 because in the 100 digits u re not allowed to have 5 and O.. tenths digit only 5 and ones digit odd numbers without 5 .. let me know if iam right!
  8. Three men and women are candidates for two vacancies. A selector can choose two candidates. In how many ways can he makes his selection WHERE did u get the two women from...???? after recognizing two women u could calculate it ..5C2 = 10 The probability that A hits a target is ¼ and the probability that B doesn’t hit target is 3/5. What is the probability that A or B successfully hit the target. what am i doin wrong ..i thought either probs.. u have to add.. so my sugg. was 1/4 + 2/5 = 13/20.. could s.o explain this exercices to me=)

    Ratio qtn

if 24 carat = 100 percent ..then 20 should be 5/6 i dont know why they ve written down 5/8 makes no sense for me=)
  12. that was my thought too paul without that assumption its impossible to solve...ure right=)

    Ratio qtn

It is 9/10 Dont get confused barrons ans is right this is the way to solve it Q) 24 carat gold is pure gold. 18 carat gold is 3/4 gold 20 carat gold is 5/8 gold What is the ratio of pure gold in 18 carat to pure gold in 20 carat gold? So the ratio of the 18 carat gold is to the pure gold is 18/24 = 3/4 th ratio of the 20 carat gold to the pure gold is 20/24= 5/6 hence they wanna know the ratio of pure gold in 8 carat to pure gold in 20 carat u have to calculate it like this... (3/4) : (5/6) = (3/4)*(6/5) =18/20= 9/10 3/4)
  14. since area is 1/2 * b * h.... hence u could solve it like this 1/2 * (8-2) *h=15 h=5 H = Y hence C Could u post the official answer , please=)
