  1. Frankly, I'd recommend OSU simply because they have a slightly better brand-name. At this level, it'd come down to particulars - eg, what you wish to study, the international community and how comfortable you are with it, etc Do your research extensively first - their websites and Admissions Offices are always a great place to start.
  2. I agree with cambridge dove - your SAT Verbal is relatively unimportant. They're looking at TOEFL and SAT Math. 800 is probably not required, but given MIT's leaning on standardized tests, I'd recommend at least a 780 on both. Best of luck!
  3. As a general rule of thumb (for those debating SAT vs ACT), always take the SAT. Always, always, always. I worked in Admissions for several years, and honestly, this is the one piece of advice (outside of working hard) that I would give. Hope that helps!
  4. First, your Math score is much more important than your Verbal score. A high math score will always standout - a high verbal score won't. Conversely, a low math score will always hurt - while a low verbal score (think sub 650) will have less impact. Second - there are simply too many high-scoring candidates these days. As long as you pass a minimum threshold (I'd advise around 2100-2150), you should be fine. Focus on other areas such as ECs and work experience. Hope that helps!
