You can ignore a few questions and it probably won't affect your score much. If you focus on 2 minutes per question your anxiety level will probably go up. Work methodically and steady.
-
What type of prep have you done so far? Have you looked at the OG-Quant? A lot of students find that helpful.
-
If you Google the question, you can find an answer explanation for almost every problem online. Also, ask the question in the appropriate forum here and I bet you get a response.

What prep courses have you taken and what did you think the pros and cons were of each course?

730 (Q42 V45)...slightly unconventional :)

How many SC problems did you work in OG12? Did you repeat them a lot? How similar did you feel the OG12 problems were with the MGMAT tests? -
Great help for GMAT aspirants!! - Excellent Program!

I could not get the site to work properly... Anyone else?? What all is there? -
my suggestion is that it is so tough to improve RC that your time would probably be spent somewhere else... just a thought.
-
I would say that it is excellent, especially in verbal because many of the second-hand verbal questions from other prep companies are so subjective etc. The OG verbals are reason enough to buy the OG in my opinion.

What made the GMAT club math tests to valuable?

I have a hard copy that I got at the store. You are correct in that a lot of questions are repeated.

Messed it up BIG TIME....550! HELP!!!!!!!!

I agree, although I think that the exam is relatively accurate. @samshah I am really sorry to hear about the disappointment. -
You asked for math resources, so let me give you two that I have found helpful: (1) Advanced GMAT Math course from Manhattan GMAT (2) Project GMAT from Veritas One other comment I would make: you need to find every free practice test and take it. Developing the stamina is something that I think is very important. A good friend of mine was aiming for 720 and bombed at 650 b/c he did not have the stamina and fell off the table in the verbal section.

I think Kaplan actually has a specific advanced course that might be of interest for you. Do not just sign up for the normal class as I think you may find it too easy.
-
I am not sure you can convert since the number you got right does not really matter. In a CAT exam, what matters is the difficulty of questions you got right. For example, you could miss half your questions, but if they are 95% questions, then you are doing very well. I hope this helps!

"especially considering the fact that people in general are getting lower scores these days. " I noticed in the back of the 12OG the new score percentiles and I would say that people are scoring higher actually. The 90% score is going up, meaning more people are scoring higher.

The CR questions in the 11OG are different than those in the Verbal Review... I have really liked the PowerScore material and I would recommend it highly. I did not like Kaplan as I thought its questions were very subjective and bad.
-
I think they are all wrong... where did you get this from?? I would choose A if I had to. B: "finding" should be "find" C: "such as individuals" is totally illogical D: second part is not a sentence E: awkward and not idiomatic

Please help me decide whether I should buy a OG12 book.
rockin4life replied to alicens's topic in GMAT
I went out and got it (got totally ripped off---should have gotten it from Amazon). I am kinda disappointed since about 60-65% of the questions are repeats. It is helpful for extra practice, but I felt it was overdone and over-hyped. -
Yup. It is out. I have it and I am kinda disappointed. It has like 60% of the same content from the 11OG so only 35-40% is new. The format etc. is still the same thing.

760 GMAT 49 Quant, 44 Verbal, 6.0 AWA

Congratulations! What did you think of Kaplan? I have heard that Kaplan is much better for lower score targets (that is my perception too from the Kaplan stuff I have had). -
I believe these two resources have the same thing (i.e., OG10 and Verbal/Quant Review). I would add taking a bunch of free prep tests too.
-
I bought it and I regret it too. It is like 65% the same old stuff. The format and layout are the same.
-
I Googled "Gmat Idioms List" and found a bunch of idioms used in past questions. I have set about memorizing them as the same ones kept appearing in questions.
