  1. Thank you so much for your help! It was quite difficult finding an intership in the first place so I really didn't want to have to find another one!
  2. Has anyone completed their 1500 hours of California internship? Did you do it at one place or did you get experience in different fields? I have currently completed 700 hours at an independent Pharmacy and plan to stay there for the rest of my hours, but I am worried that the Board of Pharmacy will require me to have hours from hospital or other places other than the pharmacy where I am working. If anyone has advice on this matter I would be very grateful. Thank you,
  3. I am originally Canadian and did my degree in England. I recently moved to California with my husband and passed the FPGEE exam and managed to get an intern position. The intern position is with an independent pharmacy and is not paid. I applied to all the big chains, however they are not hiring and do not accept volunteers. I did not have any visa issues so I thought this would make me a more attractive candidate, however no one seems to be hiring. Good luck with finding internships.... its hard. My best advice is to try calling independent pharmacies and offer your services. The faster you get your hours done the faster you can write the Naplex. Its not the best situation to be in, but its better than nothing.
  4. I heard that you can appeal to have your internship hours reduced if you can document your previous work in your home country... Does anyone know if this is true? I was previously a pharmacy manager in the UK for 3 years... I am hoping that my internship hours can be reduced due to my experience... Thanks for your help.
  5. This is very interesting... So does this mean that you could potentially take the Naplex in Tennessee, then transfer to the state that you actually plan to work in? I recently passed the FPGEE, I am currently living in California and have no visa issues. But I have found it difficult to find an internship to do my hours.... so could I go to Tennessee and write the Naplex there without doing my hours and then come back to California and apply to work here?? Does anyone know the answer to this?
  6. Yes , I passed the TOEFL and got the results on the same day we got the FPGEE results... so I guess I just need to keep waiting. If anyone gets their FPGEC Certificate, let us know!
  7. Hi all I would also like to join the group. I live in SF and am still waiting for my FPGEC Certificate so I can search for an internship.. Anyone else nearby for a study group?
  8. Buy with Confidence on Ebay! Thanks to this excellent material I passed the PEBC Evaluating exam in January 2011 on the first try. I also decided to take the FPGEE (US Evaluating Exam) and also passed on the first try! You will get: - Green Book: Pharmacology Book - Yellow Book: Contains biomedical sciences, microbiology, chemistry, ethics....etc (basically everything else you need to know besides pharmacology) - Work sheets (most have answers) - 7 Mock Exams with Answers!! Please note: These books were to be used in class, we added notes to what was already written in the book when we attended classes. Dr Misbah would help us to filter out what was important and what was not. This is why this book has so much writing in it (see picture) and also why it is so valuable!! Books or links

Go to this link to see what books others have for sale. I have many books that I am selling which helped me to pass both the Canadian PEBC exam and the FPGEE exam on the first try. Marketplace
  15. Hello all. Recently I passed both the Canadian PEBC and the American FPGEE on the FIRST try. I used the exact same materials to pass both exams. These two books were my main study material. I DID NOT USE CPR. These books have my notes written inside, there are study questions to quiz you on subjects. I have also highlighted all relevant material. The course that I took has a 99% pass rate. I HIGHLY recommend these books. Here is the link for the course material. They are now offering 4 seperate books for each subject, but when I took the course he had all the material in 2 books. PEBC, Evaluating Exam, Qualifying Exam, OSCE, MCC, Nurse Exams, IELTS, NAPLEX - TIPS Toronto I paid $2000, and it was well worth every penny! I am selling them for $350 USD including shipping. I can't say enough about this material. Send me a private message if you have any questions.
  16. I have only been searching for a few days.. so I can't really comment. But I don't really know where to look? Do I look at Walgreens, RiteAid etc.. on their websites seperatley? What about the Hospitals? Is there one website that I can use to search for all internships?? BTW- I am looking for an internship in Northern California....
  17. Hello all. If you've passed the FPGEE, many congratulations to you :D Now, if you have any tips on where to search for Internships, it would be a great help to all of us. Good luck to everyone with your search for an internship.
  18. Yay I passed too!! As long as you got 75 or more the result really does not matter. No one is going to ask for your result. We can now go out and get an internship and start making some money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I am very annoyed by this. I emailed and complained about the tardiness of the exam and I received an email saying that Pearson Vue would be in touch within 45 days to contact me about my experience. But now that the results are out so early, clearly the NABP is not going to be considering the delay or do anything about it.
  20. Score reports from the April 2011 FPGEE will be available May 9, 2011 at 12 PM central time.
  21. Thanks for letting us know! I thought they were coming out on June 3rd... so it looks like they changed it. All the best!!
  22. I sent a letter on April 27th and didn't hear anything. Then I sent it again on May 2nd and I received a generic response on May 4th. If its been a while, maybe send it again? This was the response: Dear Amanda, Thank you for contacting Pearson VUE regarding the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination® (FPGEE®) administration at the Pearson VUE professional test centers on April 14, 2011. Pearson VUE is working closely with NABP to investigate and evaluate your inquiry. Be advised that you will be contacted by Pearson VUE to address your comments within the next 45 days. Although NABP will be kept informed of all candidate correspondence, Pearson VUE will be communicating with you regarding this testing event. Sincerely, Pearson VUE
