  1. Hi guys, I need to strenghten my Verbal level, though I was able to do 34, 38 (MGMAT) and 35 (GMATPrep) on Verbal section: I feel that I can perform to more than 40 in Verbal. Hence I have bought OG Verbal2 and need to acquire the latest Kaplan 800 as well (electronic version). Could you please advise where I could find it? Actually, i need to practice with the toughest and most helpful question sets. Thanks to advise.
  2. 21 - Answer is B. imply an analogy between the law and some New Deal programs This has a "Supporter" assumption, meaning that the conclusion hints at at new element (new deficit-reduction law for indiscriminate ) that was not mentionned in the premises, hence implying an analogy between that new element and those stated in the premises ( New Deal programs). 2 - Answer is E. the fact that certain flawed programs or laws have improved the economy does not prove that every such program can do so This type of flaw in reasoning called Exceptional Case/Overgeneralization For more information, you can read on PowerScore wed site PowerScore® GMAT Preparation | Live Classes, Private Tutoring, and Publications
  3. My answers: 1 - B 2 - C 3 - E 4 - D 5 - E
  4. This is why E cannot be the answer: E says that (E) Gourmet cooks, fast-food cooks, and cooks who are health food enthusiasts are all big eaters However, the stimulus says "Some good cooks are gourmet cooks ... Some good cooks can be characterized as fast-food cooks...Other good cooks are health food enthusiasts" Note that apart from these three group of cooks, some other cooks (that are not mentionned in the stimulus) may exist!! the text never convey the contrary!! so GOOD COOK is the sum of gourmet cooks, fast-food cooks , health food enthusiasts AND POSSIBLY SOME OTHER TYPE OF (good) COOKS !!! Now, when the stimulus say "But even though not all good cooks are big eaters...", it may be, as (E) says, that "Gourmet cooks, fast-food cooks, and cooks who are health food enthusiasts are all big eaters.", since other types of cooks could be qualified as "Good cooks" AND, in this case, one would conclude that those good cook category (that are not mentionned in the text) are those who are not big eaters, and only them. Hence, (E) could be true and cannot be the answer! HTH
  5. C could not be the answer: > he could not create something that "had become known", since at the point when sth, it is not yet existing, hence could not already known before creation. Answer does is E.
  6. Very acurate explanation, spartacuss. Answer is clearly D, since answer C misplaces the sequence: dispute specific claim should come before reject. az780, Please what is the OA?
