  1. okay.. i ought to forget the math i've learned :( ..
  2. :whistle: It's tricky one..
  3. If you take the squares of both sides you will change the sense of the whole question.. sqrt(x) is nothing - math error - you cannot compare it to x². Are we really able to turn this expression into a defined one without alteration?
  4. I know..for this reason shouldn't it be D, since sqrt(x) (where x
  5. I don't know, in my eyes this is wrong. We simply cannot take the square root of a negative number, this is impossible isn't it?
  6. I agree to abaabeel. An alternative approach to question is: Term (x):----- 1--2----3----4.... Sequence (y): 2--6---10---14 ... The function will be: y = 4x-2, since m = (6-2)/(2-1) = 4 and 6 = 2*(4) + n --> n = -2 Now, get 201st term: y = 4*201-2 = 804 -2 = 802.
  7. abaabel you are right! Regarding ETS, only 15% of all candidates are correct here! Since nothing is stated, OA is D.

    Not bad, you are quite good tractable!
  9. Now I got it. Thank you so much... my goodness, it took my far to long :(
  10. Thank you very much rina! :) In applying the pythagorean theorem we get PT = 2*sqrt(21) ? I think your answer was a slip of the pen wasn't it?
  11. Original price = 100 Total loss = 13,333333 = 13 1/3 Percentage on the basis of original price= 13,333333% ?????? This unequals your solution 6.25 :(
  12. i am still confused.. this is how i approached: A person sells to items at the sime price let's say at 100$. First one is sold at 25% loss: x*0,75=100 --> x = 133,333 Total loss = 100/3 $ Second one is sold at 25% profit: x*1,25 = 100 --> x = 80 Total profit = 20 $ I interpreted profit/loss percentage as 20/(100/3) = 0,6 That's where I'd stop.. Can you correct this please?
