  4. Hi everyone, Please let me know how much time roughly is needed to prepare for MPJE? A month? More? You see, I need to know it to schedule my tests now before new graduates fill all testing dates. Also, in your experience how easy is to find a testing spot after May? Thank you !

    naplex

were you asked mostly 200 brand-generics name? I hope you passed. What did you study for calculations and was it enough?
  6. Hi everyone! I have a question for those who already had experience with Naplex recently. I seem to be confused about "you have to know 200 top drugs only" which I heard from many sources. I naturally assumed that I have to know only 200 top drugs (everything from brand-generic names, MOA, SE, etc.). But when I do Q&A (Rxprep, APHA) I see questions for drugs not in 200 list. RxPrep highlights 200 top, but their Q&A have questions about other drugs too. In your experience with Naplex, were ALL questions about 200 top only? Or were they about 200 top drugs BRAND-GENERIC names only? Thank you!
  7. does anyone know if it possible to print out answers and explanations from Rxprep quizz bank?
  8. Hi everyone! Please check it: Books_DrugNameMnemonics you can check it on amazon too, it allows to see more samples of those cards. It's so fun to go over it. Seems so easier to remember, at least I don't get a headache trying to memorize brand names. I just got them yesterday, and already went over 20 cards. Brand names really stick to your mind. What I don't know if this list of drug names is enough for NAPLEX? Anyway, please share if you'll come across something similar with brand names of OTC drugs (do we need to know them too?), or any other mnemonics tips for NAPLEX.
  9. Does anyone know if the information in Prontopass posters is too "different" from Rxprep book ? I have APHA 2012, but I seemed to like the Prontopass posters' idea. Everyone says that APHA book is too detailed, and it's difficult to study. Posters seem easy to remember. But is this enough for NAPLEX? I have hard time making a decision what to buy - Rxprep or Prontopass. Also did anyone have any experience with APHA or ASHP (pharmpreponline) online questions and answers? Both tests' price is much cheaper than Rxprep Q&A. Please let me know what you think! Thank you!
  10. You can find everything here. You will have to submit your application, hours, etc. to PCSHQ. For all the questions contact the Board as well. https://www.pcshq.com/?page=health,MA-pharmacyintern I think you should do internship first. I didn't have any luck with chain pharmacies. One chain pharmacy needed a tech, so they were willing to hire me. But when I asked if they'll sign my hours, they backed off.

    internship

Hi, I was lucky to find a hospital internship (volunteer). Additionally as a part time I want to do some community retail internship. I spoke with a pharmacist in charge in my local pharmacy ( it's a chain!). She agreed to hire me as a tech (they needed a few techs for a few summer months), I also made it explicitly clear that I need that position to get my hours done. She gave me the application to fill. So I came next time with that filled application. For some reason, I decided to ask her if they will sign my hours. So the pharmacist in charge was puzzled with my question, said that she needs to speak with her corporate office. She telephoned me the next day. In short, the answer was negative. So, unfortunately they can't help me with my internship hours, and they don't need temporary techs anymore.

    internship

Wow, thank you! I really envy such possibilities. But for the foreign grad it's so impossible. I just wonder why many pharmacies(especially chain) deny internship for the foreign grads. May be they receive a fee from the schools to accept US pharmacy students? What did you do in drug information?
