  1. How good is the department of computer science at Indiana University Bloomington?
  2. Hello everyone, This is my basic profile undergraduation- 6.9/10 GRE- 1380 TOEFL- 108 I have a low academic score but i guess my gre scores are much better. The problem is that I have no clue where to apply. I did go to a consultancy though and was recommended to apply for the masters programs at the university of north carolina, colorado state, university of south florida and university of alabama. I wasn't satisfied with the options thrown at me. Could someone provide me with some universities better suited to my profile. thanks in advance
  3. can we find the volume, without knowing the height?
  4. Honjokun06 could you explain the types of statistical problems that you got in the quants section.
  5. 1. The probability that atleast one of them is even is 1-(probability that none of them are even) 1-1/4= 3/4 3. I think the answer is D. 4. The answer is 13. The sequence repeats itself after 6 numbers. -5,4,9,5,-4,-9,-5,4,9,5,-4,-9. The sum of the first six terms is 0. 96 is the last multiple of 6 less than 100 therefore the sum of the first 96 terms is 0. The sum of the next 4 terms i.e 97,98,99,100 is -5+4+9+5 = 13
  6. 3. The only answer I am sure of is to the 3rd problem. The answer is 2.5. There are 2 equations that can be formed from the question x=2+constant 7=x+constant from this we get the value of the constant as 2.5. 1. I am not sure whether my answer is right. The contribution of the fastest machine is 46.1%. 4. I believe you have mistyped the question as the value of x cannot be greater than 5 but less than 1.
  7. Lin and Mark each attempt independently to decode a message. If the probability that Lin will decode the message is 0.80, and the probability that Mark will decode the message is 0.70, find the probability that (a) both will decode the message (b) at least one of them will decode the message © neither of them will decode the message
