  1. i used stoklosa and i think it was perfect. covers just about everything and is very easy-to-read.
  2. Congrats happy pill! I have already been working as an RPh for 2 weeks now! Finally! It has been a long ride:) Wish you all the best:)
  3. Rxprep is enough, great book, easy to read, however might not be detailed enough if u graduated long time ago.

Thank you guys! I am super excited:) I really did not have any materials for florida law, the only thing i did was I went online to Statutes & Constitution :View Statutes : Online Sunshine found chapters on pharmacy and controlled substances and glanced over them. I didnt spend too much time doing it. I focused on federal law and im glad i did cause i thought it was 80% of the exam. during the test they dont really tell you they are specifically asking about florida law. the use expressions such as "in this state....." etc. but if you learnt a lot during your internship, you shouldnt have any problems. i spent too much time going over pharmacy law history like all the amendments to FDCA 1938 (Druham-Humpfrey 1951, Medical Devices 1976 etc) and I did not have any questions on that. No dates, no names, no details. The only practice questions i did were the ones in my federal law review book, thats it. and it was enough to pass :)

I took mpje fl last week and I passed it without any problems.found it easy, easier than naplex. I only studied for a couple of days, and I only used federal pharmacy law review and on fl law questions I used common sense and it was enough.
  6. I just got the results, i passed with a score of 102. So, good luck to all of you! I guess it wasnt as difficult as i first thought :)
  7. Any suggestions on what to study from? Thanks. I already have "Guide to federal pharmacy law" by Reiss and Hall.
  8. Vvfong, when it comes to antivirals - i would focus on combination medication, like for example what consists of Trizivir or Atripla. Plus side effects. Chemotherapy, mostly side effects, MOA and antidotes, like for MTX - Leucovorin. Like I said, if I could, I would have focused a lot more on chemotherapy. I had a lot of questions regarding cancer treatment. And surprisingly - just a few about HTN meds. So, that really was a big surprise. I think my Naplex was more hospital-related. I have not worked in a hospital pharmacy, therefore it was difficult for me. But I still hope I pass somehow...Good Luck. And naomiakua - I feel sorry for you. that mistake should not have happened. We were also given that tiny, cheap calculator that i was constantly getting frustrated with. My fingers could barely fit on those small buttons and i was pressing the wrong ones. Had to costantly check myself and double count everything:) I think what happened to you, was unacceptable. you are right - we pay too much money for it, for something like that to happen...
  9. Hello everyone. I just wanted to share my Naplex experience with you today. I finished my internship mid February and started studying for the test probably the last week of February. During my internship I did not study much. I read a coupld of chapters from Rxprep, but that is all. I was too tired and had too many things going on in order to do both - work, study and take care of my family. I bought two books: Rxprep and Apha but to be honest with you - I only read Rxprep. Apha was simply too much for me! So I chose Rxprep, since it seemed easier to learn from. I graduated a little over 2 years ago so I didn't think it was gonna be a problem (some people think that Rxprep may not be enough if you graduated a long time ago and do not remember much from school). So I stayed home for 5 weeks and studied approximately 9hrs daily. sometimes I studied less, especially on the weekends when I tried to hang out with my family.I read Rxprep and did questions from Lange Q&A a few days before my exam. I also did pre Naplex twice. I passed both times, got 103 and 96. I thought that one of the tests was for sure more difficult than the other one. I took Naplex yesterday. I found it very difficult. I had tons of calculations but they were not too hard. I mean I did that a couple that I had problems with, but most of it was ok. Had infusions, drips, CrCl and TPN. To me, the most difficult part of the exam was that I wasnt familiar with some of the brand names, unfortunately. I did top 200 and it not help. I still came across names I never heard of. Overall, I feel very confused and branwashed. I dont think i did well. I had to guess a couple of times. Will let you know when I get my results. So, if you have any questions, let me know. My suggestions is, be very familiar with all the conversions - metric system to standard, you know Oz, Ibs, grains etc. Do pre-Naplex. It does give you an idea of what to expect. Do antiviral meds and chemotherapy. It is important, even though i thought it wasnt. I didnt have too many CVD, HTN etc questions. Good luck. Aleksandra
  10. Hello. I know this may sound like a silly question but I want to make sure i am doing everything the right way. I am going to finish my internship next week (finally!) and I was trying to figure out what the next step is. Should i just go ahead and register for nalex online and pay all the fees? Or do i need to contact the board of pharmacy first? I did call them yesterday and left a message but no one every called me back. So, please help if you have already done it. Thank you
  11. i still have a few months of internship left but i have not been studying at all. working over 40 hrs a week is very exhausting and there is no way i could study at night and in the evenings. i am sure some people are capable of doing so but unfortunately i am not one of them. i am planning on taking time off after internship and studying for naplex. however, one day of work per week will not hurt you. i would even say - it might help...
  12. Hi, I am looking for rxprep book for naplex, used. please, message me if you have one for sale. Thank you.
  13. one more thing - i did not need sponsorship. i am a green card holder.
  14. thank you guys. i am hired as a pharmacist intern. and i am making $10/hr. it works for me. i didnt expect anything else. im just glad i have a job:) good luck to all of you.
  15. marina keep trying. i finally found internship in FL and i am getting paid. its not a lot but hey, im not complaining! its a small independent pharmacy. good luck to you! forget about the chain pharmacies, find small, private ones and drop your resume off at every single one of them in your area. you will see- somebody is going to call you back:)
  16. marina it took about 2 weeks for them to send my license after i turned in my application. so its not bad.
  17. Hi guys! Does anyone know how much time we have to pass Naplex after we start our internship? Does it even matter? I know some states regulate the time frame but I do not think Florida is one of them. Is anyone in the same situation? Thanks
  18. hi guys, im in Florida too, Orlando area. so far - no luck, but i have just started so hopefully we all can find internships soon. dj666 what part of FL are you in?
  19. hi guys. if you have read my previous posts, you know i passed FPGEE last septemeber and that i got 116 points. i also wanted to add today that i passed the TOEFL, too, on the first attempt. i finally took it, and passed it. so it is possible. just consider it as a form of encouragement. the exams are difficult but you can all do it! best of luck to everyone!
  20. i did not take any classes either. i started studying in may but had almost a month break in august when i didnt even touch my books. i studied 5-6 hrs a day, sometimes less. i didnt have a schedule or anything, i just followed the blueprint. i read CPR twice, i did manan shroff's Q&As. i did not study management, well just whatever was in CPR. i read OTC chapters as well but i didn't try to memorize anything. in my opinion, it's good to at least go through it once. it will give you a general idea. my adive to you guys is - don't give up and don't feel overwhelemed. after the exam i felt like a loser and thought i wasn't gonna make it. part 2 of the exam was extremely hard for me. but i ended up scoring 116 points and i am proud of myself. Just try to do something every day and definitely make sure you have a month to revise before the exam. this is also a perfect time to take pre-FPGEE. good luck!
  21. hey guys, i got 109 on pre-test and 116 on the actual one. so it really is a pretty good indicator. congrats everyone, we ROCK :)
  22. i passed, i got 116 !!! i am so happy!!!!
  23. rosa i have tried to send you a PM but your mailbox is full.... i hope we all pass. :)
  24. no you cant take the toefl in the uk or any other country. the rules have changed. just go to nabp website and read the requirements. they no longer accept toefl results from countries other than the us.
