I know a person (nick muaxuan68 in Testmagic forum) whose TOEFL scores is 643 with essay score of 3.0 get admission to the post graduate in the USA with full financial aid and GRE waive. hi there, as far as I know, to get into a PhD program in Canada is more tough than in USA. Don't be surprised. The reason is there are much fewer big enough univs canada that can offer you good PhD programs. And these few good canada univs are as famous as the top univs in USA as Harvard, Stanford, MIT etc

PowerPrep is very similar to the real test. the picture, interface of program, and the voice, and especially, the difficult level, all are very similar. Try to practice with PP as much as possible , you will get more familiar and be calm with your real test. 2. for my case, my score on the CBT is 263 without TWE. and my scores with PP ranged from 250 to 273. So the real test is very close to the simulated test. 3. If you want to improve your listening score, the only way is to practice as much as possible. Good luck

it is very interesting topic. Admission staff have their own criteria to select new foreign students. And it is likely very difficult to infere their method. For example, for many universities, diversity of nationality is also an important factor. Admission staff don't recruit only students from china and india. So don't be surprised that you get admission in the case you have lower scores than those of students from china and India.

Once your scores are higher than their threshold, don't worry. Another importance, what about your undergraduate GPA?

Hi there, your TOEFL scores are good. For your major (Enconomy). admission staff will look at your QUant score to assess your ability. However don't worry that much, though your quant score is not high it is decent enough, (I hope). Furthermore GRE scores are only one of many other important criteria to evaluate your ability. Based on many experiences, pple suggest that we not overstate the importance of GRE. For many case, retaking GRE is unnecessary and waste time. TRy to concentrate on your SOP and Applications.

Admission comittee often look at the percentile. 630 in verbal is about 80% that means you ranked in top 20% of GRE takers of that month. Your major does not need maths so your Quant score is ok. Good luck

I am surprised that you get rejected even when you have not sent them your GRE and TOEFL scores yet. You seem to be ruled out in the first round. The reason I think may be that the specific area you are applying doen'st not fit your background or your GPA is below their threshold. I am not familiar with the percentage grade so do not know whether or not 66.5% is high enough. why don't you send email to the admission office and ask the reason? maybe there is something misunderstood or wrong in your application.

I am not sure but I remember when I paid for GRE and TOEFL score by phone, I gave only the name of the card holder and the exprired date. THis proves that these two pieces of information r enough. However the best way and to make sure is that you contact the admission office and ask them. good luck

Hey man, Probability and permutation-combination in GRE exams are very easy. don't worry. There are tons of Prob questions in the "Problem Solving" section. Come over and check them out. But again, don't worry about Probability. They are very easy compared what ppl asked in that thread. Though, for GMAT, I guess Maths is more difficult. my 2 cents
