  2. Couldn't figure out that both words are related to loyalty. Martinet doesn't. Got it :) Thank you @learnforever @nanorobot427 :)
  3. APOSTATE: (A) laggard (B) loyalist © martinet (D) predecessor (E) skeptic This is a Barrons question. The answer is (B) loyalist. But why cant it be © martinet. For me, martinet looks like a better answer. Please suggest.

  5. Roots are very good for learning. But it's not reliable on the real GRE and practice tests. Roots might be misleading in many cases... If you want to learn words... the best way is through learning them in context and using them in your daily speech.

  7. How will the real GRE test center be? I mean like a classroom. Or internet cafe... Or a large hall as in computer labs?? Will there be any invigilator? or such information.. Please anyone say me about the GRE test center and its atmosphere.

  9. Hello... I am doing with scientific passages, but when it comes to American history and Literature I am finding it very difficult to digest the content of the passage. Even after more than 2 readings some passages are very difficult. I was think its better to develop a good affinity towards history and literature; and approach with a positive attitude. Please suggest me some American history and Literature material, books anything. Or if you can suggest me a better way to deal with these kind of passages its even good. I have my exam on Oct 19th 2010. Do you think there is enough time for practicing them. Thank you.
  10. Yea. Guessed so! :-) Thanks for the reply.
  11. I suggest you to complete the Barron's all 3500 word list. It is the bedrock of verbal GRE... Without it, it would be tough to crack the verbal part.
