  1. thanks. i am currently relying on the OG, the updated ones. Through the error log, I have found some of my weaknesses. Pretty revealing stuff. I have always been the mathy guy and taking a lot of math and science courses in high school.. It turns out my math is the weakest. Maybe its got to do with age, I am not as sharp as I used to be. In lower years, I never had any formal training with inequalities and divisibility, in those days I tried to work out everything without having to use the quick tricks. This bit it hurting me a lot, especially in the DA section. Particularly in the DA section, I see a lot of people using this bce/ad method, can someone kindly explain to me what the steps are? When it comes to DA questions like "is x than 1. Any tricks or suggestions for that.
  2. I did one CAT from MBA.com and no, I did not rely on the Manhatan GMAT I relied on Barron's, McGraw Hill, and the OG from 2005 I don't know how to explain this. I did very well in those practices. Then messed up the entire thing. I have every intention to do it again, since it was my first try. I got myself the latest versions of OG from MBA.com, the ones tackling on verbal and maths as well. My performance is just fluctuating. I seriously have self confidence issues now.
  3. Hi all I just did my very first GMAT after some good training. The official scores were Verbal 22 / 26% Math 31 / 28% AWA 6.0 I did Barron's and the official 2005 practice book. I pretty much aced the practice book, and did quite well in the Barron's. I suppose that the 6 in the AWA reflects that I am fully capable of doing so much better in the other areas. I don't know what happened. I don't know how I messed up. Was it the pressure? or careless mistakes in the first few questions? What should I do next?:mad::eek::eek: I have lost all self confidence in myself. As a side question, is GMAT similar to SATs in that people read the best bits of all your scores? Thanks.
