    hi

hi all I just would like to know which are the best resources for practising listening for TOEFL? I mean to say within a reasonable budget which set can I buy(for eg http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0130408956/ref=nosim/http://www.testmagic.com, barrons, delta etc)Is there any publisher which produces the cassettes for listening comprehension separately along with the transcripts of the conversation? Thanks and regards jyothi

    GRE vocab

Hi all I have noticed that the British and American English differ a lot, not just in spellings of many common words but there aremany words used in American english which are not found in british english dictionaries. e.g. the word ambulatory is not found in my Oxford dictionary.SInce I had bought an Oxford dictionary befor starting my preparation, I find that it is not so much useful to me as for many words I have to consult MW or dictionary.com I had no idea that there were so much differences in the two versions. This has made my vocab job a lil tougher!!1[:D As I have been predominantly using british english throughout , do you think it will affect my performance? I am finding syvum.com,supervocab.com and number2.com quite useful .I believe learning words through puzzles and tests is much more interesting and less tedious as compared to good old memorisation. Though when youa r elimited for time, you have no options Regards jyothi
