  1. It looks like you got a very good score in Naplex, congratulations :) Just follow dolly advice. Tell them how much time you devoted for the exam, what books you used and your prenaplex score. Support your point with as many documents as possible.
  2. I'm gonna try to answer your questions one by one: 1- Work opportunities as a pharmacy intern are rare if you wanna get paid. Working as a volunteer intern is not difficult but needs a little search and visits to pharmacies and hospitals in your city. To work as a volunteer intern, you must have FPGEC certificate and a social security number in most of states. You can get a SSN easily if you have a green card. When you finish your intern hours and pass Naplex & Law exams, you will get a pharmacist license. 2- Is it worth leaving homeland? I can't answer this question. Everyone has his own priorities. 3- Things are complicated in the beginning. But once you get a pharmacist license, you will get a spot with some effort. Working as a pharmacist in the states takes time and effort. The main obstacles are passing Toefl and getting a sponsorship. If you have a green card, Toefl is the main thing. The other exams are not easy but you can pass them if you study hard and know which material to study.
  3. Having a green card make your life much easier. In this case, you will not need a sponsorship and you can work as a volunteer to finish your intern hours. Working as a volunteer is not that hard but be prepared to work for the entire year without getting paid. If you can do that, go for it for sure. But at the beginning you have to worry about passing Toefl, It is not an easy task at all. Good luck............
  4. Hi miraal, you can get an internship license in your state easily if you have FPGEC certification and a SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. Once you get your license, you can start working as a VOLUNTEER intern and count your hours. If you want to get paid, you have to find an employer willing to soponsor you to change your visa to H1b which is not an easy task.
  5. You MUST rescore. I had the same situation as I got 23 in speaking which became 26 after rescoring. I'm not saying it's for sure but you have a very good chance.
  6. You are absolutely right damarlaanil. It's really a good post but too late for me :), wish I would know this piece of information at that time. After struggling several months, I was able to get a SSN and start my internship few months ago. Wish all the best for you guys.
  7. Congratulations toefl2011, you did a wonderful job. May I know how you prepared for LA MPJE?

    Intern hours

Hi 101ku, Yes, you need the same form. Hours earned before license issue date are not considered.

    Intern hours

Hi LishaD, most of states allow no more than 50 or 60 hours per week. This means that you need at least 6 months to finish 1500 hours.

    Intern hours

First, print, fill, and submit the pharmacy intern application: http://www.ct.gov/dcp/lib/dcp/pdf/applications_october_2009/pci-09oct.pdf When you finish your hours, you can fill, and submit this application: http://www.ct.gov/dcp/lib/dcp/pdf/applications_october_2009/pci-09oct.pdf If you do your hours in more than one pharmacy, fill an application for each one of them. Hope it helps.
  11. Hi rxp2010, is it possible to buy the math cards only? If yes, how much does it cost?
  12. Hi, I need ProntoPass math cards. Please let me know the price if you want to sell yours. Thanks............
  13. Hi Caymanrx and toefl2011, Please keep me updated specially for Louisiana MPJE material. Is Louisiana board book enough to pass MPJE or we need other books? I knew that Reiss and Hall book is very good for the federal part, will you use it? Amazon.com: Guide to Federal Pharmacy Law (Reiss, Guide to Federal Pharmacy Law) (9780967633268): Barry S. Reiss, Gary D. Hall: Books
  14. Excellent situation :) As you said, you can finish your exams first in Texas. Then after passing, you can start your internship. Try to finish your hours as soon as possible. If you don't find a paid intern position, ask to work as a volunteer to count your hours. I know that Tx gives 2 years to finish hours and exams, call the board to confirm.
